Yeah, pretty heinous.  I guess he was an AM4 ackshually and, if he was a programmer type, maybe not really in line for advancement.  But still, technicians make Sergeant all the time.

You should have choked that punk out and then peed in his mouth.

Seriously though, I've seen professors cut through students for making less than dumber statements.

My son was a Corporal.  Corporal is officially a Non Commissioned Officer.   The overwhelming majority of E-4s don't ever make corporal.  They are "Specialists", that rate the same pay, but don't have the NCO responsibilities.

This guy was a Specialist.

Corporal, minus leadership role. It's a rank you slide into after a year or two if you don't punch the captain. When I was part of the Spec 4 Mafia, I thought of it as "High Private."

No shit.  I made E5 in like 3 years.  How shitty do you have to be to only reach E4 in 13 years?

Maybe this guy made E-5 in 3 years too, then made E-4 again in 5 minutes.

Which would make him cooler if he did.

Last line of article where Phelps (D rep) mentions 'political pressure'? Yeah sorry you've wasted your time there but the reason no GOP lawmakers showed up is because they no longer have to be present in order to fulfill the duties of the monarchy. Chippewa County elected someone who will happily cater to the Crown and pay fealty to staying in power forevermore.

What’s staggering to me is the people who are surprised. People who legit think Donald Fucking Trump actually wants to do good for the world, and to help people. This flies in the face of everything we’ve seen from him the last half century. Like, it’s right there. He does what is good for him. Full stop. If it’s good for him but kills half the country, he’d do it if he thought he could get away with it.

Don't forget that the lies are telling people what they want to hear. Somebody else is to blame. We'll be respected. We'll return to that nostalgic place that never really existed. It will all be paid for by someone else. You're very good people. Envied even.

It's a sweet song. So what if there are a few sour notes in the re-singing? In fact, sing it again while I go back to sleep.

Yep it's truly amazing. You have to be a true moron to think that Donald Trump wants to help you and help save America out of the goodness of his heart.

Yep. Democrats are playing by a set of outdated rules that no one cares about anymore. This tweet from 2018 holds true today...

"The last decade has been the Democrats clinging onto the rulebook going "but a dog can't play basketball!" while a dog fucking dunks on us over and over"

Okay. One last time.

The GOP is a criminal organization.

The Dems are a political organization.

To adapt that to dogs and basketball: The Dems are on a basketball court warming up. The other "team" that shows up to play is comprised of dogs that flood the gym and kill all the Dems.

Do you call a political organization to fight a criminal one? No. Do you blame the basketball team for being surprised by a pack of dogs at a gym? No.

As pointless as it is to blame the Dems for a wild dog outbreak, it's almost moreso to expect a criminal organization to break omertà to vote in uncriminal ways.

100%. And this is where Democrats lose imo. It's all about the narrative/story you're telling and whether voters believe it. It doesn't matter if that story is true or not.

Trump says dumb shit like "there's fires in California because they turned off the water. We just need to turn the faucet on and the fires will stop." and people believe it. Of course it's fucking idiotic and incorrect, but that doesn't matter. All that matters is people believe it.

Also Trump has an entire propaganda machine behind him repeating his bullshit again and again and again until it becomes "truth." Just like at January 6th. A day of love where, ok sure there was some violence, but it was all Nancy Pelosi's fault!

This.  The only currency of any value to the "persuadable" voters is lies.  Tell them lies, big lies, on repeat, hammering them with a firehose of lies.

"Democrats will double your social security without raising taxes.  Republicans want to take away your social security and are installing spy cameras on your computers right now, through Elon's Starlink, so China can see everything you do."

Naw man, Trump voters believe that shit because they want to. Why they want to has shit to do with its substance. For example see the videos of the interviewer telling them things that Trump did that were actually from Biden. They agree with anything Trump says because of the core things he says he stands for and thats hate of the people they hate. That's why messaging doesn't work for them Dems. This is something Reagan figured out. Just like the story just upthread about the farmers voting against their own interest to stop pronouns.

President Trump's Social Security Plan Could Cost the Program $1.5 Trillion in Lost Revenue.

Remember now. Trump is doing this to help seniors.

KEY POINTS

  •
Donald Trump has pledged to eliminate Social Security benefit taxes, one of just three funding sources for the program.
  •
Eliminating benefit taxes would give some seniors more money, though the wealthy would benefit the most.
  •
The move would accelerate the program's insolvency date, which could trigger sweeping benefit cuts sooner.

For no particular reason, I am thinking about the high desertion rate among the Confederate foot soldiers once reality set in that nobody would help their families except for them.

To that end, Social Security benefits ending sooner is something that a huge number of older voters will care about.    I have a little doubt that politically something will be done to support Social Security under any party’s administration.  That issue transcends party politics and will galvanize old people not able to meet their bills if Elon and the GOP go full-on stupid ideology and misplaced traitorous loyalty over politics.

My initial reaction is always to assume no one could be that stupid, and then I remember it is Donald Trump.

The other thing to remember is that MAGA voters honestly never believe something bad will happen to themselves. That is problematic.   That is why innOhio they can focus on transgender junior high  student athletes in bum fuck Oklahoma.  That mindset is derived in part because they have no inkling that their lives could take a disastrous downturn from Trump’s policies.    In other words, if you have a straight issue showdown between getting Social Security and transgender issues, old people would knit and gift transgender people sweaters if it meant keeping their Medicare and Social Security.

Selfish self interest and an absence of empathy is what got us here, and that same selfish self-interest might work to help the Democrats with older voters - and fired voters - and losing your house because you can’t make a house note voters - and pissing off all of those relatives who have to take in various generations of family members who can’t make it now.

Hating on gay and trans people is a luxury these people have enjoyed - that is, so long as their far, far, far more important self-interests are not being negatively impacted.

TL;DR This crap just might get some traction from older Trump voters.

As usual, Democrats are fucking this opportunity up.

Dems need to make sure people know that while these are dOTarD's policies, the R's in Congress are just letting this shit happen. Dems need to be hammering that message- Congressional R's are just as culpable as DOtarD.

GOP voters won't admit they were wrong until after the country is completely decimated, and maybe even not then.  Many of them know deep down they were duped.  Hardest thing in the world is to get someone to admit they were gullible and were had.

They will justify their vote, and keep supporting turnip, finding new and disturbing ways to justify everything.

@Ag with kids remember when you supported gerrymandering congressional districts to align the congressional delegation to the "school of thought" represented by the state's vote in presidential elections? This kind of non-representation is the certain outcome - they don't need to represent their district, or even show up, because their districts aren't real places anymore. Their districts are just are just demographic packages designed to support national party interests to the exclusion of local interests.

Congrats!

Defend your ideas.

If that is an accurate characterization of your view of the legitimacy of gerrymandering, then you deserve to be shat upon.
