Also, on April 24 all parolees’ right to be employed in United States is revoked, and it is illegal for any employer to hire those people.

When an administrative agency seeks to make a rule through informal rulemaking, § 553(b) requires that the agency publish a general notice of the proposed rulemaking. § 553(c) requires that agency to give interested persons the opportunity to submit written comments and that the agency consider such comments. Individuals can submit comments on proposed rules electronically at Regulations.gov . The agency must give individuals a period of at least 30 days to comment on the proposed rule. Before publishing the final rule, the agency must issue a “concise general statement of their basis and purpose.” Lastly, § 553(d) provides that the final rules are published in the Federal Register .

In which UAW workers for Ford, GM, Stellantis learn they aren’t the employed by American companies.

I'm looking forward to the semantic gymnastics required to claim GM and Ford aren't American companies.

I assume they'll say he was misquoted and only talking about Stellantis

No, they will say that Tesla is the only American auto maker.

Pleading ignorance here, but where are their batteries and/or the materials they use for their batteries coming from? Are they subject to tariffs?

I don't really know much about the industry, but according to this piece, about a quarter of their parts/components are imported, so they will see some effect.

From here, I saw an estimate that tariffs could increase the cost of an EV by about $12,000.

It won’t matter - Trump will carve out everything that could hamper Tesla. But won’t publicize it.

Trump needs to carve out himself then. Tesla imports plenty - batteries, raw materials.

You can bet your ass that the terrible things online from Democrats are the same things we are saying here - enjoy the consequences of your actions you stupid bitch, who was fine with pain for everybody else, but not for her.   And I’m sure people are asking if she was in a coma between 2016 and 2020.

MAGA, on the other hand, is threatening her life for saying mean stuff about the orange God-King.

"Drill, baby, drill" does not work with $50 per barrel oil

Blinding glimpse of the obvious here.  Along with tariffs, cutting inflation and grocery prices, one of the biggest lies/inconsistencies in his campaign.

All this discussion seems pointless once we accept the cold hard fact that our president has only one objective and that is to destroy this country totally and completely before he takes his ill gotten profits to some country that will never extradite him.  It is damn near too late to do anything about that already.

Trump froze federal funds to West Virginia and farmers are losing their farms.

Nice market for corporate farmers to pick up some nice properties. When they have what they want, I'm sure we won't see the government resuming food programs here and abroad to keep growing profitable for the new overlords.

reminds me...i'm visiting a variety of friends in Texas rn, people generally not as 'online' as me, friends that still work or are generally busy with life, kids, etc... and i've kind of been surprised at how the 'fuck 'em, let it burn, they did this to themselves' attitude is pretty much ubiquitous 🤨

like, surly is surly and we're a special lot of assholes lol, i don't often assume the attitudes/opinions here are going to permeate into the real world (i've learned this during many football seasons 😆)...but the average people in the streets do seem to be pretty unanimously and enthusiastically rooting for the leopards to gorge themselves.

Yep, without provoking that answer I am happy that a lot of people are saying that.

Yeah, it's gotta piss off the O&G fat cats who've long counted on the influence their money buys. Except they maybe didn't count on the king of the grifters to turn around and let them know that he's got more than enough oligarchs, tech bros, and assorted billionaires beholden to him to make up their end.

When oil started to recover in the early-mid 90s, shortage of steel tubulars (drill pipe, casing, etc.) was a huge issue and limiting factor for drilling.  1.25x tubulars are gonna be fun, too.
