I'm not trying to be a dick but it's crazy how often this has to be explained when all of you can just look up SEC standings.

Everyone in conference has a loss. Everyone. The only 1-loss teams are us, Georgia, LSU, Tenn and aggy. Us and aggy play. Tenn and UGA play.

If we win out we need two of three of Georgia, Tenn and LSU to drop a game to be GUARANTEED a spot. Georgia L here makes it just Tenn or LSU that need to lose. Georgia L here and Bama W later means we control our own destiny full stop.

Savvy?

Alright. Just asking, jeez.

Frustrated. With the exception of Beck, they played their A++ game against Texas and everybody else has gotten their B or C game.

And yet they only gained like 250 yards total offense in that "A++" game

Tbf even without looking up the standings you know Georgia already has a loss to Bama. So they’re a 1 loss sec team. This would be 2 and Texas has 1. So no we don’t need them to lose again unless we do.

The worst part is I was looking forward to seeing Georgia again. I think we beat them in round 2.

Think we can beat anyone in the SEC actually.

Kinda want LSU or Tenn since we don’t see them in the regular season

So did Kirby and his team come to take pictures?

Idk. Let's trade Tony Hinchcliffe to Georgia and he can take pictures at the police station with the players that get arrested for DUI instead of on the sidelines at DKR.

Just thinking out loud here: Bama beats LSU tonight and both have 2 losses.  If Georgia loses today, then beats Tennessee, Georgia & Tennessee have 2 losses.  Ole Miss would also have 2 losses.  In this scenario, if Texas & A&M win out, that game would be for a spot in the SEC championship game sending the loser to 2 losses with Georgia, Bama, Tennessee, LSU, and Ole Miss.  Who the hell would be the 2nd SEC title game participant in that not too unlikely scenario?

I’m putting in the call for a Beck pick this possession.

I think that gets you about 50/50 odds every possession of every game.

Just poll every team and see who wants the smoke.

it’s November and A&M has to go to Auburn. They will find a way to lose.

In the event of a tie between teams competing for a place in the Conference championship game, the following procedures will be used in descending order until the tie is broken:

        1. Head-to-head competition among the tied teams

        2. Record versus all common Conference opponents among the tied teams

        3. Record against highest (best) placed common Conference opponent in the Conference standings, and proceeding through the Conference standings among the tied teams

        4. Cumulative Conference winning percentage of all Conference opponents among the tied teams

        5. Capped relative total scoring margin versus all Conference opponents among the tied teams

        6. Random draw of the tied teams

Caveat being if the tie is between aggy and Oklahoma or Mississippi state the tiebreaker goes to a sheep judgin or roughneckin contest.

Sure. And I think Texas is better than both.

Yep.  I just told a buddy that I want another crack at Georgia, with 100% Quinn and without a Red River hangover.  I still think we can beat the team.  But, I would also welcome a CCG against Tenn or LSU, because I don't think they're as good.

Georgia head to head takes out Tennessee.  Bama has head to head again Georgia and so would Ole Miss. LSu has head to head against Ole miss. ATM has head to head against LSU.  So records against common conference opponents between Bama and  ATM?

Think if it’s multiple teams like that, it’s gotta be conf opponent winning %, per blacklab’s link. But there will probably be more upsets
