I'm glad the hillbillies won't have all day to get sauced before kickoff. Let's roast these pigs.

Their QB and best RB are coming off injuries and questionable as of right now.   Both of their backup QB’s are freshman.

Our defense has proven they can and will skull-fuck an inexperienced QB. Make it be so.

Strong/herman whatever - it was all mediocre terrible football and it sure as shit looked like we were in for more of the same after arky.
so glad it’s going back the right way.

I’m not sure I would describe the Strong years as mediocre…

We’re almost certainly winning out in the regular season if Quinn plays at the level he played this weekend. We are a far better and more talented team than Arkansas and will only lose if we shoot ourselves in the foot. Their pass defense is poor and we will get pressure on whichever schmuck they roll out at QB.

On paper, our roster is better than every SEC team's except UGA and Bama.

Barring turnovers, we should win the remaining three games.

Hate Week mother fuckers, embrace it. Destroy dreams, cause pain and suffering, crush ambition, squash criticism and annihilate the less fortunate. Take it out on arky, all of it. Every last drop of frustration left on the field in the ozarks. Fuck them all to hell.

They sat best RB in their last game ( Ja'Quinden Jackson)  so he would be healthy for Texas -- he's had more than 3weeks to heal with their bye week.

Their starting QB played dinged up in last couple games, so 2wks off probably means he'll be at least 90% healthy for Texas.

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman provided injury updates on quarterback Taylen Green and running back Ja’Quinden Jackson during the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday.

Green, who was injured during the first half of a 63-31 loss to Ole Miss last weekend, has a sprained knee. Jackson has missed three consecutive games after injuring his right ankle in a 19-14 victory over Tennessee on Oct. 5.

Arkansas is amid an open week before hosting No. 5 Texas next Saturday at 11 a.m.

“I still think we're a few days away from both of those guys determining what their ability to play against Texas would be,” Pittman said. “I can tell you this, I don't know if either one of them be able to play if we were playing Saturday.”

Pittman noted both Green and Jackson participated in a team walkthrough Tuesday but was unsure if they would be available for practice Wednesday.

“I think we still have to wait until probably Monday of next week to see exactly where we're at with those two guys,” Pittman said.

That 2021 team was warmed over dogshit and Arkansas was surprisingly good that year. Quinn generally plays well in hostile road environments. Yesterday, he played his best home game ever as a Longhorn.

Arkansas doesn't have the same defense they had back then, Barry Odom is gone. We'll see what Petrino schemed up during their bye, but we should be a 14 pt road favorite and this game will get out of hand if Arkansas doesn't start fast before we settle in.

They become bowl eligible with a win.  It is a rival game (mostly for them), They can put a blemish on our record.  Yeah, they got something to play for.  So do we.  We can keep them out of a bowl for one more week.  We can kick that ass in their haus. and we can stay at one L.  End of the day, we are enjoying a luau on the way out of town.

it was mentioned during the broadcast yesterday that during the production meeting with Sarkisian, the topic of the Arkansas game came up and he was already thinking about it. a good change from when he first started and didn't quite get the nature of the rivalry game

I mean that is the only good thing to come out of that debacle in '21.  I don't think Sark will ever underestimate the hatred those poors have for Texas again.  If Pittman's seat is still considered warm, he knows damn well a win against Texas probably gets him an extension.   This is their season and I think this time Sark will at least do everything he can to get the team to understand what they will be walking into.    I think with A&M our guys fully appreciate they are walking into a fistfight.  I don't think anyone naturally thinks that about Arkansas except Arkansas because it's such a weird one-sided inferiority complex that fuels it.  Hopefully the team takes in that message.

What the fuck are y’all talking about “slow start”.

7/9 104 2TD in the first quarter. Slow start my ass, if that’s slow I’d love to see him come out slinging it. YOU see what YOU want to see facts and stats be damned.

“but but but he can’t throw the deep ball” he had 2 30 yard TDs to Golden - one was wide open, the other was a good throw to the open space regardless of what BOW would argue - and not 1 but 2 dropped by Moore. 1 was under thrown but it still should have been caught and a big play, the other was just plain dropped and was a TD.

“but he checked down a bunch” yeah and didn’t take sacks and made positive plays. sometimes WRs don’t get open and/or the OL doesn’t block well, so get the ball out and let Blue and Wisner get some yards and oh my word if blue makes his guy miss (like he’s really good at doing) it goes for a big play. Wait too long on those and the guy gets tackled or it gets picked, checking down quick isn’t a bad decision when the guy has 7 open yards in front of him.

This post sounds like the same people who clamor that the coaches don’t call the TD play enough or the defensive coaches need to call the sack or int play.

Could have thrown ball away instead of check down on a couple. He missed Bonds for TD and over threw the two safety coverage. His throwing in stride timing was off a bit, and still could have had two more TDs. Had Moore not had alligator hands and secured the other ball in the end zone. He was pretty good yesterday just not perfect. Would love to see perfection but think he is good enough to take us to the promised land if the fellas around him also step up.
Thought Manning squandered many of his chances. But then again the game was out of hand. Bring on piggy. I want blood.

They will play if they can walk, not only because of the hatred for Texas, trying to get bowl eligible, but also Pittman could well need this to save his job. This is the kind of game Texas could easily lose in the past. Sark went out and got all the talent the Horns have now to accomplish great things. Losing this game could just about end that possibility for this season. It would just be unacceptable to me, Texas laid down the big bucks for coaches and players to be put in place so winning this kind of a game would become mostly routine. Texas has more veteran and more talented players and a coach that is considered elite, the motivation should be there also. A loss really shouldn't be tolerated at this point, and I don't expect one.  We don't need a super effort here to win, just a competent performance should do it. That is certainly not too much to ask, you can't do great things if you're not up to making the things happen necessary to bring that goal into reality.
