Is Sark and Ewers still using the microphone/helmet head-set to communicate and call in plays?  Does crowd noise play a factor and can Arky’s crowds interfere with these communications?

Adding to what texifornia wrote, it also makes the snap count more difficult to hear, leading to false starts, etc.

The cheapest tickets are in UT sections. Not sure what that tells me.

It means that any Texas fans that committed to traveling to Arkansas on a Friday for an early Saturday morning game bought tickets, potentially in other sections a while back and any Texas tickets being dumped at this point are not finding buyers willing to make a last minute 5-10 hour drive (depending on where they live in Texas) and or book a flight and hotel this last minute.  Also means piggy demand isn't high enough for people to have to buy tickets to sit in the visitor section.

I think he's talking about the crowd noise part of the original question

Thanks I'm just a bit foggy right now for personal reasons and was asking a legit question in the moment.

I think I did conflate the two questions and got confused.

2004 just barely won miraculously when their QB inexplicably fumbled the ball. 2000 and 2003 were not shitty teams.

Sure 2014 and 2021 were shitty but even by those teams shitty standards those Arky games were bad beat downs. And 2014 Arkansas weren't exactly world beaters.

That 2014 Arkansas team should have been much better than 7-6, Bielema kinda screwed the pooch on that season. Lots of close losses including to Alabama 14-13. Had a top 10 defense and NFL guys on offense like Alex Collins, Hunter Henry, Brandon Allen (who is surprisingly still in the league).

Not winning 9-10 games in 2014 or 2015 is probably what eventually led to him not getting more time to turn it around after a bad 2017 season.

Only reason Texas is on upset alert is because we’re inconsistent at times and trip on our own dicks, we have a top 5 roster in talent and a great coaching staff, Arky will be inspired but it won’t matter.

if Texas handles business, starts fast and keeps penalties to a minimum we blow this team out.

if not and we let them hang around and start to believe it could be the upset everyone is looking for.

Over under at 1.5 drives before Quinn throws a ball point blank to a defenders hands?

I would prefer it be on the first possession. When he does that I always compare it to putting the first dent in a new pickup.

7 of the 8 wins this year are by 3+ TD’s and we’ve won something like 20 straight games against unranked opponents and 9 straight road games.

The playing up and down to the competition line that people have tried to use for years really hasn’t happened all that often.

Hope it continues today.

If you know anyone who drove up there today, tell them to fill up the gas now.  Arky gas station may be "closed" or "out of gas" to cars with Tx plates after the game.

imagine unironically having an internal combustion engine in the year of our lord two thousand and twenty four.

(it's ok if you have one ironically tho)

How does that work with pay at the pump?  I’m not buying it. The story, not the gas.

OK, so Arky fans may not be as bad as they were back when we put it to 'em in '69.   Of course, the post would require some knowledge of the past to truly understand.  Sorry.

I'm surprised more fans aren't concerned about the Texas run defense going against a top 10 rushing team. That's been the weakest link all season and Texas gave up 6.1 ypc to a FL RB on 19 carries. That's not too good, and FL didn't have a run threat at QB to worry about.
This game is also in Fayetteman and pig has had 2 weeks to prepare. I wonder what trick plays had sex with VB player will come up with.  Texas just better come in with their heads on straight and piss in their veins.
It's a concern for sure, but most of those yards came after we started subbing on D. We don't shut down the run game like we did last year even with all starters in, but we also havent had anyone run over us all game long.

We just have to start fast on offense and go up by 3 scores in the first quarter, the rest will take care of itself. The pigs have a bit of trouble defending the forward pass and aren't consistent at harassing the QB/sacks. If our front 5 play well (and we figure out Max protect) we win this one without too much sweat.

I never want to hear from anyone how intensely the Arkansas fans hate Texas.  I was prepared for a significant level of hate.  Instead, there was no juice at all from the Arkansas side.  Leaving my hotel in the morning I had several Arkansas fans talk to me about how pleasant the weather would be and that they hoped it would be a good game.  Walking up from the high school, not a single horns down, not so much as a wayward look.  The stadium relied on canned noise (how is that freaking train whistle legal?) and the lamest freaking on field hype man you'll ever see.  The only time it got somewhat loud was that stretch in the third quarter, and half the stadium bailed with 4 minutes left.

I could see how it would be a loud environment in a big night game (the stadium is well designed to keep the noise in), but I never want to hear about how Texas is the Super Bowl for Arkansas.  That wasn't even remotely true today.

You should write a email all about it and send to them, thanking them for their wonderful hospitality and you pledge that your first born will attend there. Make sure you mention how gorgeous it is and the smell of pig shit barely was noticeable.

You forgot the amazing fans that gave him directions to the stadium.
