This just ain't it.

And the problem isn't the OL, skill players or scheme.

They aren't going to make a change but the ceiling on this team is somehow lower than last year and it's due to one guy who has either regressed this much YoY or is still hurt and not recovered enough to be playing.

No he's not, the NFL is not stupid. Ewers is costing himself money.

The way things are going, he’s costing himself NIL money at his transfer school.

Any other coach would bring in Arch just to get a spark if nothing else. Nothing to lose at this point. This loaded offense hasn't been right for weeks now

Isaiah Bond must feel duped…he’s basically Xavier Worthy-speed, but with better hands and route-running and the only balls he sees are WR screens and 9-yard curl routes.

Exactly.  It's not even just the shitty passing.  Fucking Case McCoy would have 75 yds rushing in the 1st half of this game.

Those lanes are open.   Just grab 4-5 yards that are there.

Put Arch in and run some ZR and take a few shots down the field. The worst indictment of this offense is that it’s not even fun to watch. There’s no explosive plays; it’s actually a fucking chore to get through a drive. You’re just watching and hoping they don’t trip over their own dicks and turn the ball over. Any play that goes for 5 yards feels like you’ve won the Super Bowl.

I hate that I mostly agree with this

You know what? Maybe Sark needs to bench Ewers so he can get his head straight! He is not even being adequate. He has regressed and we have too much on the line for where ever his head is..

Has he regressed?

He's been the same QB his entire time here. Good in the short/intermediate passing game but terrible down the field. Also, any type of pressure and he's likely to self-sack himself.

That's been Quinn his entire career.

I’m starting to lean towards Arch. He isn’t afraid to run. I honestly also believe with reps and experience, like everyone else, he’ll only get better. This lackadaisical attitude and performance by QE is beyond maddening. To me, it comes across as not. Giving. A. Shit.
I thought QE wanted to play for the school? Because he sure as shit ain’t acting like it. It’s a dream of many QBs to don the orange and white with that special sticker on the side of the helmet and QE has seemed so checked out his time on the forty.

Exactly. I was actually pleasantly surprised he waited to hit Golden on the TD and didn't just check down bc it was there also.

I know we haven't had good QB play in forever, but I am pretty sure this team would have been light years better with Sam Ehlinger.

lol not at all

Sam would reverse spin at the speed of smell into a sack for 15 yard loss

SARK needs to seriously pull the plug.

Fyfy

Pig secondary is dog shit AND injured. The D isn't good at all, but looks like a top 5.

Yet here we are 10-0

If people can't see it at this point, they never will. I know Sark can, but he refuses to make the call.

This is on Sark.

I do not believe Arch Manning is some ready-made golden god waiting on the bench because Sark is stubborn or made political promises or anything. I do not think we've automatically got a better QB just sitting there. I don't think our playoff/championship hopes improve if Arch is at QB.

All I do know is that I'm fucking tired of watching Quinn Ewers self-sack and pussyfoot and create basically nothing unless everything lines up almost perfectly for him. It's just boring and frustrating to watch as a fan. Uninspired and scared shit.

Sark's primary job is to win, and that's more important than entertaining or pleasing me, though, so we have what we have out there.

Genuinely believe Arch gives you a higher ceiling and a lower floor.

But if Quinn is this injured or has just someone regressed this much...the teams ceiling is lowered anyway.

If he would be good for the shrt/intermediate passing game, that is all we need to beat these pigs. He isn't even able to do that. So yes, he has regressed.

The offense is a shell of last season. I think party the lack of even trying to establish the run is a problem but the lack of having a QB that can use the middle of the field or throw past the sticks is the kryptonite.

Both of these are on the OC. Sark needs to do a lot better. Be it personnel, scheme or play calls.

Sark has too much pride which will eventually doom him. Insanity. This first half broke me with Ewers. I’m done. Can’t use the injury as an excuse. As I put it into prospective, he’s always been overrated, even in high school when the Westlake QB at Clemson looked like the better QB.

We have electric threats on the corners with Bond, Golden and Wingo but Captain Checkdown is busy throwing swing passes to the RB’s with the occasional pass to Gunnar Helm.

I'm getting a lot of 2022 Texas @ OSU vibes from Quinn right now minus the turnovers and assplay from Xavier Worthy. He was playing hurt then and it really feels like he's playing hurt right now.

Fixed that for ya.

He becomes a statue in the pocket way too often which leads to sacks and his deep ball is atrocious. Its hard not to point the finger at him for this offense's incompetency.

It's always fun to read the overreactions in the game day thread.

He’s playing like shit against a team that was actively doing tryouts for DBs. This is not what you ever want to see from a supposed first round QB who has been a starter for three years.

For those that called me out a couple of years ago when bitching about Kiatkowski............. thank you.  If our defense was just good, we may have a couple of more losses.  He has saved the season thus far.

He seems to always be hurt.  Maybe he isn’t that good versus playing hurt all the time.

if he was hurt, at least we might have a qb change.

What intermediate passing? We’re way downfield or in the backfield. We’d be moving the ball with intermediate passing. We just refuse to do it.
