My biggest concern going forward is that Ewers wants to come back next year.

He might find himself in a position where his best option is to transfer for one more season.  He might find his draft stock non-existent with Texas committed to moving on to Arch next season no matter what

Some of the play calling has been horrible. Line play is mediocre as well. Can’t get into a rhythm and thankful this month of Thanksgiving our defense is solid and gives us a chance in every game we play.

Our starting RBs are change of pace, not bruisers. We need to run Gibson more. Man, I know we’re missing Baxter in the worst way.

If we could forget Quinn’s expectations of being great and admit we have a serviceable game manager QB it would be much easier to handle.

My kingdom for a serviceable game manager this game.

Arky is playing 3 deep and we have no real running game. Quinn self sacks and the watered-down/long grass field is checking our speed on crossers and getting separation deep.

Just line up and drive them off the ball for a while in the running game and they can't sit back 3 deep..

But we have shit at RB between the tackles and a our OL struggles with everything outside zone

our guards aren't lining up and driving a fucking thing anywhere

Is he though? Self sacking, no long balls, no mid field balls, thereby limiting the running game?

No, he's fucking not.

So how are we all feeling? Time to fire a bunch of coaches and put the backup in? Righty-o.

Only the second part. Mehringer is at Oregon now.

For those that called me out a couple of years ago when bitching about Kiatkowski............. thank you.  If our defense was just good, we may have a couple of more losses.  He has saved the season thus far.

Nanson  has really helped

I’m still impressed by people that see Texas as a national title contender.  We are Iowa

Jesus. Nobody packs sand in their vag like texas fans.

Helms need to hold on to the ball….not like him…he’s dropped 2-3 passes that he normally catches….those are points if he makes those.

I can think of one drop. What were the others?

What intermediate passing? We’re way downfield or in the backfield. We’d be moving the ball with intermediate passing. We just refuse to do it.

He is checking down or holding the ball way to long and not getting rid of it to avoid sacks. He isn't doing his job.
I don't now the politics of football or whatever, but when yous QB s not at least adequate and able to make plays, you bench the guy. I don't see why Sark won't do this. Hell, Mack benched VY when he was hosing up the Tech game his Jr year. It isn't a sin!

He's probably counting the one that Ewers threw in front of him at his feet. It was 2nd down and he was wide open and would have picked up a 1st down. The next play was the non-called PI in the EZ, and we settled for a FG.

Apparently a 6’6” tight end should be expected to catch line drives aimed at his ankles, of course.

The D will hold up and either score or set us up for a TD. By blind ass luck the O will get another TD, we’ll win 24-0 and everyone will say that the game thread is full of overreactions.
