Arkansas QB

Play reed like we played green, and they are toast.  Green is more fleet of foot but Reed is a better passer (of late at least)

i have a lot of confidence in the Texas D. They play smart, mean, and generate turnovers. Probably goes without saying that Reed and the atm offense have not faced a better and more dynamic defense. Ant Hill is in God Mode right now and I expect him to be a menace.

a fatwa on Aggy!  Fatwa on Reed!  Destroy the infidels and make them quit. A Kyle Field emptying out in early 4Q would be orgasmic.

Probably top 3-4 but that's more about Texas having played some hilariously bad QBs.

I don't think he presents anything the defense hasn't seen between Van Buren, Hawkins, Beck, Pavia, or Green.

This is the only game of the season I'm not excited that Klein is calling the offense for aggy.

Klien was arguably the MVP of the K State game for Texas last year. Without him calling that game there's a real chance Texas doesn't go to the CFP. I don't see anything to worry about there.

We should have a very good chance if we don’t step on our own dicks and both sides of the ball play to their potential. Barn stepped  stomped on their own dicks repeated during Q4 , as well as getting uninterrupted anal from the zebras. Despite that, they still won with a below avg QB.

Fuck the jizz jars, nut clamps, glory holes, and delusional derangement syndrome. Fuck aggy now and forever.

This is a weird game. If aggy pulls an upset, we’re still in the playoffs with 2 losses. If we win, we’re still in the playoffs even if we lose to Georgia with 2 losses. So ultimately, the game doesn’t really matter for us. Of course I want to win, but I’m not going to be crushed if we don’t.

if aggy does win, Texas was a National Champ caliber team. If they lose, we benefited from an easy schedule and didn’t beat anyone this year. Aggy moral victory no matter the outcome.

Um this game matters a fuck-ton for Texas.

WL we likely get a home playoff game

L we probably have to go on the road

WW we get a bye

Those are extremely material outcomes. And that's not even accounting for it being our first game in 13 seasons against our 2nd biggest rival - which would be meaningful even if both teams were 6-5 coming in.

Aggy LBs are not very good. Their secondary is extremely handsy and not very athletic. I can see us making them look silly if Quinn is on.

i don’t see them scoring 24 points on us either with their offense

On Reed @ QB - he's got some shake and throws the ball decently - and Texas has been run on fairly effectively by a few teams (mainly up the middle, though).

That said - their skill-position talent incl. TE doesn't hold a fucking candle to Texas.

I think they could get us on some lapses in coverage or Reed scrambling but probably not both. Kentucky was able to get guys open downfield in part because we didn't give them anything on the edge and dared Boley to beat us through the air. Yeah he did a couple times, but he also ran for -57 yards and looked like he wanted to quit halfway through the 4Q.

Like others have said - if aggy is going to keep this close and potentially win they will need multiple TOs by Quinn and maybe some special-teams fuck-ups as well. We all know that is very possible - but straight-up our O vs their D and vice-versa they are outclassed.

If Quinn takes care of the ball and hits a few big passes I think we get through relatively drama-free.

They are not good. But it’s a rivalry game Anything can happen. We should win but I also witness Charlie strong beat OU and case McCoy beat atm.

Reed is damn good for a freshman QB, but I'm sure we'll show him a few new wrinkles.

He hasn't faced a defense like ours yet. We're goin' in dry.

Gentleman, and ladies, we are not just lining up this week against sheep-fucking, jizz jarring, weirdo male cheerleadering insufferable wackos.

And we are not just representing our fine institution of higher learning and superiority amongst both academic, athletic and social activities.

We are, in fact, representing our entire state, its proud citizens and those well beyond our borders. Much, much further.

We are fighting for those harmed by aggy oppression in homes — and kitchens — around the world.

I am here to say fuck aggy now and forever. To remind us all of their recent crimes against humanity.

And crimes against culinary science.

This is our moment.

Our moment of vengeance.

It is our moment to say "enough is enough!" and to honor the memory of our beloved friend who met its demise far too soon due to the arrogance, callousness and incompetence of aggys.

I'm talking, of course, about the jalapeño pepper.

Vengeance is ours.

Remember the jalapeño.

Quote

Since I know you’re wondering who the inventors are: the clue is in the name TAM II. The hot (but also not hot) new jalapeño is an invention of Texas A&M University. Yes, Aggies took the spice out of life.

This aggression will not stand, man.

He is perhaps quicker/shiftier but not faster than Taylan Green and he is no more elusive in a phone booth than Pavia.

I'm not saying this to denigrate him. He's played well for a freshman. I think A&M hit on him and he'll be a good QB for them the next three years. We're not talking about the second coming of Michael Vick though, and again I don't think he's bringing anything the defense hasn't shown to be capable of handling.

Which, by the way, props to PK, Nansen, and staff on that. Mobile QBs have been a pin in the ass for Texas for the past few years and they clearly worked to address that.

Their DL is talented, but can be undisciplined (similar to UK’s Deone Walker) and losing gap integrity in the running game

Guessing this will be a huge game for Quinn and the RBs. A&M started overloading a side in the 2nd half of the Auburn game. I would expect to see that in this game. RBs are going have to pick up blitzes. Quinn is going to have to identify the blitz and hit his hot route.

Caught up on the thread and there is nothing to add so in summary:

1. Fuck aggy - check

2. If we don't beat ourselves we win easy - check

3. If good Quinn shows up we will destroy aggy - check

4. A blow out is preferred - check

5. Already starting to troll aggy family and coworkers - check

6. In before the beat down - check

Let's talk about Sark vs. Aggy.

Sark loves to beat up Aggy.

Be it as a Quarterback, leading BYU over a heavily-favored aggy team in 1996...

Or as an OC, beating up Aggy in Collie Station 47-28 in 2019...

And again by 52-24 in Tuscaloosa the next year...

...Sark just Loves abusing those sheep-fucking sister-smoochin' dog-worshippin' dumbfucks that thought they could get away from us.

Marcel Reed and Michael Hawkins are very similar as QBs right now. Reed is a bit more elusive as a runner. but Hawkins is a better passer right now. Don't let Walker get you deep and I don't think any of the other ones will make a contested catch for them.

If Blue puts the ball on the turf once, he will spend the rest of the night on the bench.

Worse, Sark is gonna send him to bus tables at the Dixie Chicken postgame

They really aren't. Reed is a lot better and has another year of experience on Hawkins.

Reed isn't a world-beater but he's easily a tier better than Hawkins.

He can’t. Sark tried that in the Kentucky game and Gibson said “hold my beer”. Blue was back in the game after the fumble. Wisner can’t take every carry

Better defense: aggy or KY?

Aggy.  At least that's pretty consistent looking at advanced stats.   Pretty clear to me biggest issue coming into game week is Quinn's ankle.  This game probably more than any other is a game I want a healthy 3 behind center.    People can claim Kyle Field is "overrated" all they want but it's going to be an absolute fucking madhouse Saturday night and they are going to play aggressive as hell and try to win with big plays on D. I feel pretty good about our chances if 3 is healthy.

Blue got just 4 touches to Tre's 16 after the fumble he lost.

So yes - Tre can't take literally every carry but Sark really pushed the agenda down the stretch yesterday.

I'm fine if Tre gets another 25 next weekend. He'll live.

I am expecting a few early roughing the passer penalties from aggy — probably targeting Quinn’s lower body

I actually think Reed is going to be a bit of a problem. He’s more elusive than any QB we’ve faced this year, including Pavia. And he can buy time and find open receivers with his ability to scramble. However, we have the athletes to keep him in check for the most part. He’ll get away a few times causing some frustration.

I want to see Ant Hill and company break him in half.

Fuck the Aggies. We can’t lose to those cultists.

Fuck these yokel motherfuckers back to their animal husbands. I went to the last Texas-Aggy game after telling my in-laws to kiss my ass and back their shit up by coming to Collie Station with me or shut the fuck up. None of them came, I went alone. It was fucking glorious. I saw a 70 year old man cry in the stands. Fuck you A&M. I hope your campus burns to the ground, you soviet fucks.

Well if an aggy built their buildings, you know it'll burn to the ground at some point.
