I was in collie station for that 1995 16-6 game, staying with some friends who swore they could get me a ticket. That fell through and I just watched the game at their house. After the game, that town was fucking pissed off. My friends told me that they saw several Texas fans shoved and punched in their section and told me I was lucky they couldn't score me a ticket. I remember posters on hornfans had similar stories from that game.

To pay them back for putting me up, I placed a big to-go order from that "Wings and More" shithole they all love. I was wearing my normal Texas baseball cap when I went to pick up the food and everyone in that shithole was glaring at me when I walked in. As soon as Jethro at the counter saw my hat, he grabbed the stack of food bags and said "we got more stuff to put in it". I could hear him and his dork buddies giggling in the kitchen, obviously spitting/jizzing in the food.

He brought it all back out a minute later, and it rang up to about $100. I just turned around and walked out.

I was at that game. The scene of corps goons trying to round up Texas fans who ran on the field after the game was like someting out of Pink Floyd's The Wall.

aggy is the poster child for when keeping it real goes wrong.

I was around it and in it for 2 short years up close and personal. Its always been wild to me how fucked up these people are and how fragile they are.

I once attempted to dye my long hair platinum  blonde, it didn't work obviously and I had bright orange fried hair. I had to buzz it off after a week but decided it would be fun to do a Mohawk before fully buzzing it off.

That week I had the Mohawk people wouldn't sit anywhere in my vicinity and I had the majority of people literally get off the sidewalk and switch sides that they were walking on to avoid me.

Pussies the lot of them.

I graduated from that shithole when I was 19 before any of you fuck with me about being aggy, I was never aggy I just didn't know shit when I was a kid and didn't realize how much culture mattered. I never fit in with that racist piece of shit institution. For those that think it's revisionist history you can find my pictures in the composites hanging in the lambda chi fraternity house in west campus. I was initiated into the Texas chapter of a fraternity that had a chapter at TAMU because I was in Austin so much they didn't know I didn't go there during and after rush and I didn't ever fit in with those backwards fucks.

Well I'll be God damned... TIL surly is run by an aggy.

What made them racist?  I do not affiliate with A&M so just want your humble experience leader.

College Football Nerds model is 28 - 15 Horns.

Massey is 31 - 24 Horns.

Bill Connelly is 29 - 23 Horns.

BCF hasn’t been updated yet.

Who do I gotta blow to just wake up Sunday morning to any of these scores and be happy? Lol

A few random data points.

Texas is outscoring SEC opponents by an avg 30-16. Outside of Georgia, we have led our opponents by an avg of 29-6.

Texas has 22 drives over 50 yds long, averaging 71 yds/drive. Texas has given up 8 drives over 50 yds, inc 3 by Florida after the score was 42-0.

Texas' SEC opponents are completing 57% of their passes, for an avg of 5.3 yds/att.

Texas' SEC opponents have rushed for 3.3 yds/att. Texas is averaging 4.7 yds/att.

Texas' SEC opponents have rushed for 109 yds/game and passed for 151 yds/game, total of 260 yds/game. Florida rushed for 114 yards after the score was 42-0.

Other than Georgia, Texas' largest lead per game has averaged 22-8.

Texas wins Saturday, 34-13.

Watching more of the aggy defense and it's clear, if our offensive line holds up that extra 1/2 second, Ewers will pick them apart as they have to get QB pressure quickly or they are in trouble. Their linebackers are terrible at pass coverage. Probably worst we've seen all year. Their secondary/linebackers has no ability to hand off receivers. TE delay over middle and/or any type of route that went across the middle teams has exposed a&m consistently this season.

Not sure what these models have been looking at, tbh.

Aggy offense is pedestrian, and our defense is a bunch of savages.

Aggy defense is reeling after giving up 43 and 44 to their last two SEC opponents.

We've played very well in big games the last couple of seasons.  And Sark is gonna have some surprises for them.

And the hard-to-beat-at-Kyle thing is a bit of a myth.  They lose 1 to 3 at home every year.

I called it 31-13 Texas, but that's honestly me being conservative because it's a rivalry game and Sark tends to turtle with second half leads on the road.  I think there is about a 25% chance we blow their fucking doors off.

Extra second is key. They kept overloading one side with the blitz and it caused Auburn all kinds of issues in the 2H. Hopefully Quinn is smart enough to see that and can audible into a rollout, screen, or quick slant over the middle to stop it.

No idea what Elko will do but based on who he is and how important this game is to him; I am going to guess he is very aggressive in his blitz packages. He went to a lot of overload blitzes in the 2nd half vs Auburn. I think he brings them early against Texas. The key is not going to be the .5 second more of protection, but winning 1st down. Stay out of obvious pass situations and Elko is not going to get a chance to bring exotic blitzes.

He'd be a fool not too.  We have an otherwise immobile QB with a sprained ankle.

If he doesn't blitz early and often, he should be fired on the spot for malpractice.

I love the humble pie Blue has been willing to eat this year. Fell out of grace after putting the ball on the ground, but kept working and owned up to his shit. Keeps falling down, keeps owning up to his shit.
Hopefully he takes his game to the next level next year.

You mean he didn't fumble it when a 50-year-old man took a swipe at it?  Well, that's progress I suppose.

You don't get to be 50 without knowing how to cause a young man to fumble a time or two.

UGA made our offense look stupid with all their blitzes. We had no answer. Hopefully there is a better game plan this time around. Because leaving Quinn out there on one leg while that massive A&M DL tees off on him could get ugly.

That is why you need to win 1st down, stay out of obvious pass situations. If they start overloading a side and blitzing, that is going to be on Quinn and the RB. 3 OL cant block 4. Quinn is goingto have to be quicker finding his hot read and the RBs will have to be better picking up the extra man.

Before the 2023 season...

SEC home winning percentage:  .525

https://aggieswire.usatoday.com/2023/07/16/texas-aggies-football-sec-home-field-rankings-usa-today/

We're so loud and intimidating when losing!?!?!?

The winning percentage alone can’t serve as a proxy for the hostility and pressure from over 100,000 fans screaming at you when trying to get a play call in. Aggie football may have had its recent struggles, but by no means is the 12th Man indicative of a last-place ranking among the other SEC fanbases.

This is exactly it. It's not an actually great homefield advantage. Nothing in the numbers has ever said it is.  Like most things with those yokels they just declare that it is and the media runs with it. They get really loud for big games. You know, like most power conference stadiums.

Agreed. Hopefully the hot read is more than a low % heave downfield that Quinn can't complete. Need to make them pay for blitzing like we did to Michigan.

Blitzing is like throwing a fastball. Mixed in judiciously, it keeps the opponent off balance. When it's all they see, it's a home run waiting to happen.

In ordinary situations, yes, but when playing against either an inexperienced or injured QB you blitz them until they show they can beat it.

Holy shit that is not great, especially because after 2013, all their Arky wins are neutral site wins, except 2020 when it was played in CS.

They have continuously hosted crappy teams like Vandy, SoCar, MSST, Auburn and FL through their decade of suck.  They've hosted Tennessee once and never Georgia.   And still barely over .500 in SEC play at home.
