FCB with some injury updates

Spoiler

One source close to the situation said Ewers' ankle sprain wasn't progressing as quickly as initially hoped. That source said there's obviously still time for the ankle to respond to treatment before Saturday.

Monday's practice was more of a walkthrough as Texas put in the game plan for Texas A&M, so not much was required physically of Ewers.

Tuesday and Wednesday were more physical practices, and Ewers' ankle "was in a stiff brace."

"Quinn took the first snaps with the first team offense, but he was definitely limited," the source said.

Ewers has been getting daily treatment on his ankle, which will continue on Thanksgiving Day and Friday. The hope is that the injury will improve by Saturday.

— A source close to receiver wide receiver Isaiah Bond said he's recovered from his ankle injury and is as close to 100 percent as he's been since the start of the season.

— A source close to DeAndre Moore Jr. said the sophomore wide receiver has recovered from the foot injury suffered in a 20-10 road win over Arkansas two weeks ago. According to Pro Football Focus, Moore was limited to five snaps in the win over the Razorbacks, but he logged 39 in last Saturday's 31-14 win over Kentucky.

— Running back Quintrevion Wisner was in a green "non-contact" jersey at practice on Tuesday and Wednesday as coaches sought to protect Wisner as the team's lead running back.

If Ewers can't go, we'll have Arch's deep ball and legs. But, it will probably hurt the intermediate passing and screen game.

Trial by fire

I turn 40 tomorrow and have known about them since they came out. But for over 15 years of their existence I’ve probably watched 30 min total of their content if you were to add it up. They aren’t as big as some make them out to be. Usually watch a 10 second clip and say “that’s cool” then move on.

In Scipio's post yesterday on IT about the aggy defense, he said something about how they are vulnerable to a QB who can sling it 60 yards downfield, or take off running for 20 yards. I don't think he was trying to be cheeky, but....

Sounds like Ewers to me.

Is Sark really trying to trot out a broken down Ewers on one leg?

So Ewers is healthier than he has been since the UTSA game

No, it's FCB, so Ewers is actually 100% and prancing around like a colt.

fun fact. dude perfect started because of the colt to Jordan boat throw on national tv. those dipshits were upset that espn was playing that clip and said we can do better. they did the same thing from a further distance and posted on YouTube. aggy jacked off to it and voila, they got their 15 minutes of fame. they are terrible of course but its all they got.

Hadn’t heard that but I believe it.

They are goofy fucks but they got more than 15 minutes of fame. Their company makes $20m a year.

Pubes says that for Aggy to win they will have to rush the passer with 4 and tackle well in space. Two things they have done well for over a month. He is lowering expectations.

aggy ain't getting pressure with 4. If that's the plan, they're truly furked.

The funny thing was that they were all aggy when that started, then when it started to take off they became more national and dropped the aggy shit at least for the sake of promotion. Smart move for those assholes.

You guys with your “I watch quite a bit of sports” don’t seem to understand that it might actually mean something if you said “I watch quite a bit of YouTube”

@Zepol87 was the one who claimed that sports fans should know who they are.

All these people making fun of Dude Perfect are acting like they wouldn’t want to be multimillionaires doing fun shit all the turn for a living. Yeah, they’re aggy, but that would be awesome. Let’s be real…

I haven’t seen a lot of folks making fun, just wondering who the fuck they are.

I know who they are.  I thought their game had passed but my boys are older now so their "taste" has evolved.  Taste is a highly subjective word.

We said that about Georgia based on their play heading into that game and we were totally shell shocked by halftime.

I wouldn't be surprised to see their DL causing disruption which makes Q situation very worrying

Watch the film again.

It's been argued and beaten to death, but our offense's problems against UGA were more a function of Ewers' shitty footwork than the O-Line. Was it the best D-Line and Front 7 we've faced? Absolutely, but aggy ain't that good.

Agree that the QB situation is worrisome if Ewers is gimpy and plays scared like he did against UGA. Is Arch up to the task? Maybe we'll find out.

Yeah, like everyone, which is why he is the lead dude on Gameday now. Popular culture has become completely meathead rotten.

Yep.  I gotta say that I’m enthusiastically waiting for the first U.S. president to be elected to have sleeve and neck tattoos.  Of course the ink will be faded a bit.  There may be a few out there already that did not remove the barbed wire bicep and tramp stamp tattoos, but that’s different.
