First time all year I don't like the matchup. I can't unsee what happened in October with us getting whipped up front and not being able to threaten them.  Georgia 27 Texas 17. This seems like a bad matchup for us in a styles make fights kind of way.  Hope I'm wrong.

Prop Bet- Total rushes and yards for Texas

21 for 73.

Silver lining- whatever happens with this game we are either the SEC champs in our first year in the conference which would just be delicious on so many levels- or we get the 5 or 6 seed and go something like Big 12 Champ then Boise or Indiana then SMU or something dumb into the semi-Final.  So, either way we will absolutely be rewarded for another fine regular season.  All that said lets go whip their asses.

I can't unsee what happened in October either, but I think we got caught up in the hype and were sniffing our own farts a little. I don't think that's an issue this time & I think our defensive performance is more easily duplicated than theirs.

24-10 UT

Gerry made a good point. It's impossible for Kirby to get his defense anywhere near as jacked and focused for this game as he was able to the first time. Human nature doesn't allow it.

Our OL is better now than then. Same with Wisner. We have our identity.

Quinn is the big mystery. If the line plays a lot better can he show a little consistency in production? He hasn't put together a full 4 quarters of consistency since game 2 in September. Even against Florida the game was so far out of hand at half he didn't need to do anything in the 2nd half.

Beck has played a lot better since mid October. That will be a test for the defense, but our defense has gotten better as well.

Toss up game. If we win it we get 3 weeks off before the playoffs. Lose it and it's 2 weeks and possibly the coveted 5 seed.

How many times will he claim coms are down 2

How many Bulldogs will fall on the ground and have bogus injury timeouts-9

I see the O being better prepared, but Quinn is still Quinn and Georgia's running game is still salty. Could be a weird game with injuries and players potentially resting for the playoff.

I don’t like this matchup either, for reasons discussed in the game thread. Hoping that the 8 OT’s last week have taken some of the starch out of UGA, that they are overconfident about the rematch, and that our offensive line is prideful enough to want to reclaim some of their dignity that they lost in Austin the first go round. If we can get 4 quarters of good Quinn, we can beat anyone, but he’ll need protection.

Unfortunately, in rematches in the SECCG, the winner of the regular season game has a 5-2 record in the rematch.

UGA 20

UT 14

UGA just has an extra gear that they can put on for games they care about where the other team isn’t Alabama.

UT rushes 27 times for 89 yards.

Hope I’m wrong, I had a bad feeling about last week and couldn’t have been further off.

Since no one expects it and CFB is pure chaos, I think Quinn unfucks himself and has his best game of the year.  Arch comes in at points and shows the wheels for some scores, too.  Defense sacks Beck multiple times and picks him off 3 times again.

Texas 31 - Georgia 17

Different scenario this time - Georgia had a make or break game in Austin, we were coming off of OU while they got Miss State to warm up, and Ewers is healthier now.

Texas 24, Georgia 20. 25 attempts for 145 yards.

Georgia is struggling against the run. UMass and GTech both had over 200 yards rushing.  If we can establish the running game and not turn the ball over then we should win

Texas 20-17. I think if defense shows up on Saturday the way they did in College Station, our offense won’t have to pop off (hasn’t happened all season).

It was first half only, and Kirby outschemed Sark. They won’t be able to rush 4 and get to Quinn again. Hell they didn’t in the second half. So stop being a vagina:

Texas 27-22

31 rushes for 143 yards.
