Shedrick getting easily muscled throughout the game … he’s serviceable on wide open dunks and coming over to help in the paint on somebody else’s man but sucks ass rebounding and boxing out, and he gets easily outmuscled by guys who should have no business moving him.

We are gonna need to get our 2 freshman bigs’ feet wet ASAP to see if they have any rebounding and defense to offer … but, I think we squandered some good chances to do that against the cream puffs who we already played.

Is it just me or do those god awful coaches polos the staff keeps wearing look like Nike sent UT a bunch of overruns and said "sorry, that's all we got for you this season"?

Fran even made fun of them last night

Do we know if/when Kent is coming back? Seems like a real key to the team. More so than Mark, whose return I thought would be a lot more helpful than it's been.

Some guys take longer than others to come back from injury and start playing at a high level. I don’t think we’ve seen enough yet to say that Mark won’t end up being huge for this team.

Yeah, Kent is a massive loss.

Kent (who is a good rebounder) and Kaluma at the 5 would solve a lot of our issues. We would be small but I think a much better team.

Shedrick was the best he's been all year in the last 8 minutes of the game yesterday. He stopped roaming on the perimeter and sat in the lane. That's what we need. Keep your big ass body near the rim if the other team's big can't shoot.

I don't know if it was a coaching staff change or Shedrick finally adjusted.

Hope I’m wrong but I think conference play is going to be brutal for us.

SEC looks tough, but we managed 9-9 in the Big 12 last year.

Only play Auburn, Tennessee, Bama and Kentucky once each - and all 4 are at home.

He's had 2 nice games in a row and is a beast on D. Still not sure he's 100% and there is a lot of competition for mins at the guard/SF spots.

I thought Kent was potentially out for the season?

Yeah Mark has been fine I just expected a bit more. He'll probably continue to improve.

And yeah from what others are saying it seems like Kent may be out for the season. Which sucks.

Total offensive production and rebounding out of Shedrick and Onyema last night was 5 points and 6 rebounds in 40 min.

In fairness to Onyema, he hardly played.

It's time for Onyema to get more of Shedrick's minutes even with all his flaws.

Onyema definitely busts his ass

Saw whatever else you want about him, but he busts his ass and tries hard

He definitely does play hard. The only problem is if he plays more minutes, he will get in foul trouble and Shedrick will have to come back in anyway.

Gotta get about 8 points and 10-12 boards between the 2 of them to beat the top 50% of SEC teams on the road

the coaches polos are horrible

Someone hit up CDC about them on twitter. He said the coaches pick their shirts and are superstitious about what they wear with the eyes emojis.

Sounds like they know they are ugly af but as long as they keep doing well with them, they’ll keep them.

RT needs new glasses then if he picked those out, someone call Randi to knock them off his face

Well they wore them in Vegas so should have dumped them then.

That helps -- current (early) NET rankings:

UTenn #1

Auburn #3

UK #5

'bama #9

Stealing one or two of those would be nice.

We get #6 Florida once and #10 MSU once (both road games).

Oh shit so that's why we lost!

Maybe they'll change shirts again if we lose on Sunday?!?!?!?!?

Edit: I just looked and somehow ESPNs computers have us favored with a 55% chance of victory. I'm surprised.

If Karaban is still out, we have a good shot
