I think we will be the 6 seed. Why wouldn’t ND be the 5?

They are going to plug all the possibilities into an algorithm that tells them what makes the most money. Then they will trot out that one fat spokesmen guy to explain why they made the bracket that way.

Because they lost to Northern Illinois and didn’t play anybody, but I can’t say this isn’t a possibility.  Too many unknowns in the hands of the committee to predict right now

Yes, making the playoffs is great, but we had a chance to make history, winning the conference in our 1st year, didn't do it. Those are the sort of achievements you get to crow about for life. You need to be upset about letting things like that slip through the fingers

aggy has been in the conference for 14 years and hasn't even made it to the championship game.  Have some perspective.

Georgia's back-up QB is better than their starter.  Same as ours.  Both teams will be better next year.

Do you penalize Texas for losing by 3 in ot on a neutral site game? When ND is below Texas in the rankings. Why would you move ND above?

because everything is arbitrary?

Sark is an elite play designer.  As a play caller, in big moments, meh.  Bobo schooled him down the stretch in this one.

He was elite at calling them as an OC. Overall as a head coach he has created an elite program. But part of that is because he's divided his attention. He needs play calling help.

Look at elite OCs who stayed elite playcallers as head coaches. Their defenses suck (Lincoln Riley, Kilff Kingsbury; etc.). Obviously it's better to have a complete team but now he has to ask himself if he willing to swallow his pride on gameday playcalling.

Yeah, I'm not optimistic going into the playoff with Quinn and an OL that folds when they go against a decent defense. I don't care how they fared against aggy or Kentucky. When it mattered most, they cratered twice. I also don't have faith Sark can win a game like that going forward. Why the fuck are you not looking for Gunnar over the middle? Why are you not bringing in Arch in the redzone. He showed you last week what he can do and you just chucked that. Quinn is a good QB but he has a ceiling and we all know what it is.

Why is our offense so bad?!? Not just this week, every week since Michigan this offense has sucked. We cant throw, we can’t catch, we only block if we’re not playing Georgia, like is crazy how bad this offense is

The problems in order:

1. Inability to run consistently against good DL’s

2. Mistakes - PENALTIES, drops

3. Play calling

4. Quinn.

What’s weird is that there’s really no excuse for any of these four. We have an elite OL, a supposedly great OC, and a supposedly great QB. And good prep should address penalties. This team has underperformed.

Play calling is highly marred by subpar QB performance. Lots of play call criticisms are a result of poor player (not just the QB's) execution. And it's tough to really judge it live. Watching film allows a far more thorough and objective analysis.

In my opinion, neither Big 10 or SEC loser should fall beyond 6. Notre Dame does not have a conference game to play in and they get to cherry pick their schedule. They should be 7 at the most.

Sark is 1-3 in post-season games.

The last two, Sark/Ewers could not get into the end zone with game on line. Once last year, twice tonight. Three times total!

We ain't winning a title with Sark/Ewers duo.

Sark ain't got the balls to do it, but he needs to roll with Arch. We have a title winning D that just needs an offense to score some TDs a few times a game.

I don't buy that the playcalling cost us the game.  Just like in the first game their dbs covered us up downfield.  They have the speed to erase the flares in the flat.  That leaves running the ball and crossers over the middle.  We couldn't run the ball.  All we could do was crossers.  And that's all we did.   This game was lost on special teams.

Yep.  Quinn's bread and butter is blocked up with an athletic team in the red zone.  He's not a threat to run, and if no one else is, well, we're fucked.

And, I think it needs to be further isolated from special teams to kickers.  Yes, they're part of special teams, yes they're recruited by special teams coaches, but when they go south (after setting records last year), I don't know what the fuck you do or who to blame.

Guys.
Barring injury, Arch isn't replacing Quinn.
Stop torturing yourselves.

Not this year, but it still doesn’t excuse not using Arch more this year simply as a change of pace while Quinn has been battling injuries.

Next year, one of the two will portal. My money is on Ewers. He ain’t getting drafted.

You really think there's a question of who's leaving Texas if it comes down to Arch and Quinn?

Really?

I agree but he’s not wrong to troll our program.

The only thing I can think of positively is a loss here prepares us to win 4 straight.

If that’s the ultimate outcome then all good.  Otherwise, Sark’s guru status been severely damaged by tonight.

This loss is on Auburn, the OL, and Sark in that order.

28 rushes for 31 yards is a coat hanger abortion.

stop giving this supposedly elite unit a pass.

Hey homie , didnt you see the receivers drop numerous balls . over and over and over

Ewers was fine the first half, receivers sucked

Ewers sucked second half and sark called a shitty game

I am now questioning if Sark is the guy to getting us there after he got us here

nah, we will still care.

You might.

Does any Super Bowl winner give a shit if they won their division or were a wild card? Win the big one and who gives a shit about anything else. Playoffs are a new era in college football.

No, we hoped they would. We aren't bitchass dripping cunts who lose hope at the first sign of adversity in a game. Until time and circumstances negate any chance for a win, we hold out hope the team steps up. Lots of players stepped up and made going to OT possible. You are either a plant troll or the absolute worst example a fan could possibly be.
