They are very much Tech-esque except cockier.   They aren't Ohio State level, agreed.   That was unparalleled.    But spending the day around those morons in Atlanta pretty much made me cross off a trip to Athens next year.  Wouldn't be enjoyable.   Bunch of meathead douchebags.

It's always been like that with Georgia, and it was exactly as I expected on Saturday.

If Quinn could use his feet to pick up 5-8 yards 5 or 6 plays a game. pick up 1st downs or give us better 3rd downs. He’d be unstoppable.

college game needs that.

qb gotta be a threat with the wheels.  He has zero wheels

And yet aggy is still chasing him down the Kyle Field sideline.

What a hollow fucking victory. That game probably wrecked their chances at a title.
Aggy: "Winning the SEC championship is more important than winning the national championship."
Is the backup really that worse though? Beck isn't that good. He's a huge step down from what Georgia used to have.

I was saying earlier in the week the CCG are all risk no reward for teams in Texas’ position. I think Georgia had to win to get in but wow at what cost

You would think shit like this would make the conferences rethink them but $$$$$$

Finally got through this. I did notice the run game was not as bad as I thought. Most of the positives were between the tackles. Outside runs did not go very well. Georgia put 5 on the LOS on a lot of the outside zone runs, seems like they found a tell. Also ran an obvious pass rush stunt on 1st down after 2 successful runs. Georgia seems to have scouted Texas really well

I think the punter is more valuable than Beck.

They were already in the playoff regardless of the outcome of that game

The punter was the bigger loss tbh. Dude is a beast.

I thought with 3 losses, losing head to head to Alabama would have kept them out but I wasn’t following it closely

If they were in either way then the whole game was pointless all the way around

They were locked as the 7 seed. The committee made it clear that championship games didnt hurt your standing.

I don’t think they would have made it in with a loss. Not with the punter and Beck being fucked up.

no one cares about a punter.  they were in even with Beck getting hurt because no one would have known he was out for the season.  it was different than the FSU deal last year.

In that the drive that would’ve been 3rd and 8, but Burke lined up offsides and turned it into 2nd and 3?

Except he wasn’t offsides. Just like Collin Simmons wasn’t later in the game.

Eh, Burkes was much more debatable. Simmons was bullshit. As was one of the last false starts on Williams where he barely breathed.

Sure as heck hope he did it during special order session, to minimize the cost to the taxpayer.  The audience size seems to indicate it.  Regardless, what a huge waste of time, but I guess he thought it was worth it to get it into the congressional record.  SMH.

Pretty common with sec fans.

I remember being drunk and obnoxious as a young person. They don’t bother me so much because it’s fun to be young. When I see those fans I laugh because, well, been there

But, sec brings out full fledged adults who are red necked snaggle toothed assholes.  It was intolerable.  I won’t go back to the championship game.  They have this conference pride thing that I just don’t understand

Horns down doesn’t bother me but I must have seen 50,000 different people doing it with this grin of euphoria like it was some big insult.  It was kind of funny how big an insult they thought it was. Walking out of the stadium we had stuff thrown at us, people getting in our face doing their dog bark.  Being in the elevator at the hotel a couple of hours after the game they were still at it.  It’s all just eye rolling type stuff but they are a different breed

I know that we probably didn’t have much choice but to join but I sure wish we didn’t have to.

I've never seen Georgia people throw stuff at the other team.  The bark, yeah.

And it seems none of you have ever been to an OU game!

The whole SEC seems to have gone full aggy with the Horns down bit.  They all did the gator chomp back at Florida, so they have adopted the Horns down.

Sure wish we had a punter worth a damn...

The only thing I can say is that his punts are short enough we don't get many returns against us.

Is he the worst we have ever had?  We have traditionally had good to great punters.

And the whiniest too. Their message boards are full of people whining about Texas. They act like they lost the game. They're all a direct reflection of their whiney-ass coach.

They're whining because Sankey didn't congratulate them.  Of course, he mentioned Texas and OU and congratulated Texas on getting to the game their first year and then the stadium was a chorus of boos.  He gave up the mic at that point.  But the whole ceremony was kind of a mess.  The ESPN lady running it seemed ADHD and disorganized.

Maybe, but there's a lot of this, courtesy of SECrant:

They throw trash when calls don’t go well for them.

They get off on possibly injuring Georgia players.

They seem to take more pride in that than winning. Lol. Losers.

And

They're entitled primadonnas who lItErAlLy cAn'T eVeN when they don't get their way.

They had their own network FFS. It's unreasonable to expect them to be capable of playing well with others.

They're gonna be even more pissed when their league finally removes the fix and Texas starts beating their ass every meeting.

Oh, and as for the injuries resulting from completely clean hits-- I've been told for decades that's all part of the SeC gRInD.  You'd think they'd be used to it by now.

I said that the SEC Championship game should have been in prime time instead of ACC Championship. I was told on this forum it wasn't because it would be the "undercard" to the Big 10 game, didn't believe it then and certainly don't now.

Duh.  That's probably just a bunch of aggys.

And hey, at least we didn't waste any mustard or golf balls.  (for those of you with short memories-Tennessee targeting Kiffin and Ole Miss)

Perfectly good hits.  Plenty of UGA players have gotten hurt by dirty hits.  Nick Chubb had a really nasty leg injury his sophomore year when Tennessee hit him 5 yards out of bounds.  No flag.

QB Aaron Murray had a season ended by Kentucky when he got hit low.

I didn't see anything and I was sitting on the Georgia side, only a handful of us in Burnt Orange.  Didn't even see the normal barking.  Rode MARTA which was overwhelmingly UGA.  Crowd was really a lot more subdued than normal.  All I saw at Austin this year was the barking and that only by a handful of 20 somethings.  I was north side upper deck and most of the Georgia people were only a section or two over..

My wife's a Bulldawg and so I've been to more Georgia games than I can count and even with Florida, Auburn and Georgia Tech, they aren't particularly obnoxious (they hate those 3 as much as we hate OU).  Bitching about every call, yes.  Drunk, yes!  But its usually falling down drunk, not angry drunk.  As one Georgia fan told me at a Georgia-Florida game, "we may not always win the game, but we ALWAYS win the party.  Georgia fans of all ages DO like to drink.

They are the only team I think Texas can’t beat without a perfect game. I think the rest are beatable. So if Texas can make a run it could be a real benefit if someone can trip them up.
