2024 SEC Championship Game: Texas vs. Georgia - 3pm on ABC

Silver lining time: So that was probably the best outcome for Texas. We now get a much easier first and second round game, had we won, we woudlve likely faced UGA again or OSU.

We are very likely to face the 12 seed at home, followed by the 4 seed. The opponents will be two of these three teams (Clemson, Boise St, AZ State). That will allow us to build momentum before facing Oregon. If we beat Oregon, we arent losing to UGA for a third time or whoever comes out of the other side of the bracket.

Settled for a fg at the end and settled for a fg in ot. Pussy ass shit.

When your QB isn't hitting open receivers and instead chooses to checkdown to the RB with the furthest route to the endzone, I can understand hitting the FG and hoping your D that's played really well comes through. They just didn't have another stop in them.

I'm angrier about the FG call that Auburn missed earlier. Should've punted with his track record for longer FG's this season especially after he hooked the second attempt after the false start earlier.

I agree, but it doesn’t mean it was the right decision.  Now, as I stated more than a month ago, you needed to be making that decision back then, not now

We were 11-1 going into the game today. He was never going to make that change.

If Clemson wins (and it’s early, but that feels VERY possible at the moment) Bama is most definitely in the conversation if not THE favorite for the 12-seed

SMU turned it over already.  Clemson winning is most likely path to Texas drawing Bama RD1

All according to the script err… just how it ends up happening lol

The problems in order:

1. Inability to run consistently against good DL’s

2. Mistakes - PENALTIES, drops

3. Play calling

4. Quinn.

What’s weird is that there’s really no excuse for any of these four. We have an elite OL, a supposedly great OC, and a supposedly great QB. And good prep should address penalties. This team has underperformed.

Quinn with 5 TDs and 5 INTs against Georgia (2x), OU, and A&M. Only “big-time” game he showed up to was Michigan and we found out they sucked.

He has been a big disappointment overall. So much potential demonstrated in his first two seasons. Such a regression this season instead of taking the next step. I guess we can hope he redeems himself in the playoffs. Maybe he heals up and does better then. I'm not holding my breath on a switch to Arch and that decision is a risk all it's own this late in the season.

I can’t process this game….

Just like Quinn. I’m so frustrated…. And it’s on a lot of people. Quinn is hurt so I hurt it but he holds the ball to long. Sark play calling is not good for where he is physically. But penalties against us and all the fumble breaks went to UGA but we should have won despite. Sark was not aggressive enough. He got his shit pushed back in Oct so should have come out today ready to stomp.

Great start but poor finish. I’ll take the fifth seed the championships.

Yeah right

they are gonna set us up to play Alabama, whatever seed that needs to be.

We’ll find out. Other teams are bad too. Hope we don’t play Georgia again.

To be fair Texas should not have to play GA again unless it is in a  NT game. Hopefully the playoff people that pick these things feel the same.

Someone more educated than I am tell me, was the slant really open the entire game? And we threw it one time?

GA has given that up all year, but we don't take advantage of it but a couple times.

I called him out as a troll weeks ago. I'm sure others have also.

Celebrates losing and shuts up when Texas is winning.

An aggy or sooner troll.

Bert missing 2 FGs, and Guilbeau celebrating Barron's INT instead of trying to block the TE took points off the board.

.

If he blocked, it was going to get called a block in the back and would have hurt Texas more.   Did you not watch the fucking game?
