Eh, the problems we've had all season are still the problems that are ensuring this team won't win the Natty.

Special teams is ass, specifically Sideshow Bob is mega ass.  I don't expect college kickers to be automatic from 55+, but how are you 50% on shit from around 40?  Inexcusable that he's the best we can trot out there.  Punter is also ass.  Guarantee you there are some soccer players in Austin that play intramurals that would be better than those two.

Penalties.  Team is wildly undisciplined.  Seen the offense have drives stall all year long because of a stupid holding penalty or some other fuck up.  That's a coaching problem that comes straight from Sark.  These things should have been fixed in the spring before the season even started.  Instead, we're losing the league title because we never bothered to address it.

Ewers.  Dude looks worse than last year.  Most un-clutch player I've seen in a long time.  Has major problems with his game that neither Sark or any other coaches have bothered to fix.  Lazy floater passes.  Bad pocket awareness.  Self sacking.  The list goes on.  It feels like we're being held hostage by this Opie looking motherfucker who seemingly doesn't give a fuck whether we win or lose.  When is the last time you saw Ewers fired up?  Like, selling out on a play, visibly amped up, talking shit to the defense, etc.  Dude looks as motivated as the local stoner kid stocking shelves at Walmart.  Yeah, he's going to throw a great ball every now and again, but on the whole he's a check down merchant who can't/won't run and will bonehead it up multiple times a game just to make sure he fucks us.

I imagine we can beat a team like Indiana who are complete frauds, but we're never beating this Georgia squad and Quinn and this offense are never beating a legit defense.  We've got the #1 defense in the nation which in any other year means we'd be a lock for the Natty.  Nope.  Not this year.

Also, we need to get the SEC championship game moved to New Orleans.

That’s not happening, and we look like A&M fans for even suggesting it

I watched a dozen plays tonight by makuba.  Every play he makes he comes in looking to end someone’s life.  Hes so fast and tries to run through someone’s face. That hit on the qb will go down in gif history.  That was a bright spot I hope we can some how keep him one more season.

I couldn’t stop laughing at that.

1.  Knew game was over as they got the yardage for the first and we weren’t going to be able to stop 4 attempts from the 2.

2. Thought dudes head popped off for a msec.

3. They slow motioned it back to back and just seeing the backup QB face with the realization that I could actually die doing this against Texas versus a high school team was priceless.

4. Makuba, Simmons and Ant hill are bad dudes.

Ewers could’ve become a legend but just didn’t have “it”.

Now we’ll see but winning 3 more games is a very tall ask!

But next year is going to be bonkers with Arch madness.

Yes, but the location of the championship game will never affect a&m in any way.

Funny the two missed field goals were right after huge sacks Quinn took to make them further.

One was after a penalty. But keep fucking that chicken

When we started arch for overtime. I was like hell yea.  We got big fuckin balls.

Pretty sure that was just per contract with abc/espn and not an actual attempt at winning in the redzone.

Just finished my recording of the game. Couple of thoughts.

1. Special teams lost this game.

2. Since 2021 only Alabama and Ole Miss has beat Georgia in a game.

3. Quinn needs to hit throws but this WR core is a level below last years.

Then Sark tucked them back up his ass and squatted down and rode with Quinn.

I'm just surprised we didn't use Arch for more than just run plays. I mean, the trick play on 4th and 1 was boss... but last I checked, he can throw the ball as well. I figured we might see him coming in for a few plays here and there to shake things up. Keep Kirby guessing. Perhaps he brings a spark. You can still be loyal to Quinn, which Sark clearly is, but let's use the tools at our disposal in more creative ways to catch defenses off guard.

Yeah we should probably practice him as the starter and start him

just in case

You could've put prime Earl Campbell back there tonight. There was no where to go.

Their line was on penetrate mode the whole night.  So when our lineman starts doing some sideways shit and pulling they blow the play up.

A functional rpo game would’ve fucked them up.  But Ewers isn’t a threat to run so it’s only rb and slot they got to cover.  So LB gets RB and DB get WR no numbers advantage.

The one glance route did work great but was really a good play by Moore.

He has definitely stacked blue chips in the top 3 level for enough consecutive years to have as good a roster as can be had. Having to contend with Saban and his also thoroughly blue-chip teams threw a wrench in his goals more than a few times. But, I'm sure he's had a learning curve to headcoaching that is required above and beyond having the talent. Sark is taking his lumps now. We'll see how far he goes. Does a lot right, but from the comfort of my couch, he has lessons to learn too.

Couldn't agree more. I know Sark keeps in touch with Saban, so I don't doubt he's picking up some pointers. But like Kirby, it takes time. You.gotta keep stacking those 1-5 classes each year. It may take time, but eventually you will break through. Back in the Mack days it was just different. You needed someone like a VY to elevate your entire team, even if you have NFL talent. It  not like Chris Simms' defense was devoid of talent with Corey Redding, Shaun Rodgers, Casey Hampton. Leonard Davis, Mike Wllliams, etc. Or even in 2005 with that team. No one else was taking that team to the NC other than VY

Now you have to consistently stack talent over talent over talent. When Smart got to Georgia in 2016 he was using Mark Richt players, so it took him another 5 years before he made the playoffs with his own players.

The point is, for all of Sark's faults, in 4 years he's made 2 CFP appearances, the SEC CCG, and has a chance to go all the way, and he's oniy stacked his own talent for 3 years. He's on a great trajectory. Will he win it this year? Probably not. Can he win it with Arch? TBD, but I would take a hard yes just because of bloodlines and scheme fit.

I'm as frustrated as anyone on here, and I've had time to cool off and examine things. Regardless of schedule, the only team he lost to was Georgia....the same team that's been stacking talent since 2016. Good times are ahead of us. Weak schedule? Lol k. It's a grind, remember? That's all we heard. We win, now we have a weak schedule.

Winning it big takes time, and if Sark continues to take Sabam's advice he'lll break hrough. He might be stubborn and have an ego, but the man isn't stupid. He went into Georgia and pulled 2-3 Georgia recruits, 2 FL recruits, LA recruits, Cali recruit. and TX recruits. He'll be fine. He's still learning to be a HC. He just took UGA into OT. He's surrounded himself with incredible recruiters, which will pay dividends in the not too far distant. I say we all relax and let it unfold. Remember, aggy has NEVER been to a CFP, even in a 12 team playoffs. Sark has been to the 4 team and a 12 team. He'll get it done. He has all the resources anyone could imagine and a donor base that wants another trophy.

All of this is true except the comparison to aggy

we aren’t fucking competing with aggy

we are competing with Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and Oregon for the yearly favorite to win it all… and actually do it.

To me this is the worst play of the night for Texas.  They didn't have a punter.  Wtf were you expecting there?  That play alone should cost Banks his job (if not being able to recruit a kicker or a punter that is worth anything isn't enough).

100%

I only mentioned aggy because that's all those morons talk about, and we're in the same state.

But you are correct, those are the real teams we're competing with.

1000%, I even thought it was visibly apparent. An impartial officiating crew and a half decent kicker and Texas wins this going away in regulation.

So do we get Boise? Or Clemson?

not sure I want to go against that RB though with some time to prepare could be ok.

surely they don’t put Texas on same side of Georgia in the bracket.

why?

you don't think we can get enough votes to make it a rotating game ?

everyone not named georgia and  USC would vote rotate between some mix of atlanta, nola, nashville, jax, houston, and dallas
