What’s your solution?  Should we fire Sark?  Stop being a bitch.  The reason we are even in this game is bc of Sark.  Dude is playing a game against a team, staff and program that has won 2 of the last 3 national championships with a QB that has to wear an ankle brace, his 1st round LT out, and a RB group that features our 3rd stringer on the road.  We lost in overtime.  Have some fucking perspective.  Oh yeah, his kicker that was nails last season can’t make shit this year and cost us 6 points.  Don’t forget that too.  Maybe he should have benched Bert in the offseason and foreseen he wasn’t going to make shit and got a transfer kicker…. What an idiot that Sark is.

5 touchdowns. 10 quarters.  He has to own some of this.

This is terrible analysis. Our oline had no push. Our run game up the middle was dead all night. We made all of our money on quick rpos and slow developing midrange passes. If we drop the latter this is a repeat of the first game. The reality is we adjusted properly Quinn is just limited, and we got fucked by the refs and our own special teams.

and receivers that didn't catch and Sark that shit the bed in OT

Our QB is a fucking loser.

Flip on ABC and watch Kevin Jennings play. Or FOX and watch Gabriel play.

I was just about to say this.

Watch any one of them.  They actually seem to give a shit.

We pissed this away.

Y’all calling for major coaching changes (OC) are morons.  We just came out of the CFB wilderness and we have no kicker and lost a lot at RB on injuries.  We will probably have a better QB next year and our receiving corps is not elite this year and may get better next year.

Weve got to get a kicker and fix ST play.

Score more than one touchdown!  Or go get Haynes king who lit this same defense up

That wasn't the point of my post.  The point of my post is people screaming run it up the gut!  Pop it outside. Blah, blah, blah.

Georgia stoned our run game.  Period.  Their dline is probably the best in the country and its a pipeline.

Make our offense one-dimensional, and we've got problems.  Especially in the red zone/OT/short fields of inside FG range.

As has been observed elsewhere, UGa is rather uniquely suited to beat us.

There's a lot of shit that didn't go our way, most of it was our doing.

- Play calling was shitty when it matter.

- UGA D is fast and disciplined, which is kryptonite for some of Sarks' calls/designs

- We couldn't run worth a shit

- Golden/Bond/whoever drops that dime in the end zone in the 1st half

- Bert missed 2 field goals

- We repeatedly shot ourselves in the dick in the 1st half with dipshit penalties, some of it was the refs

- On Barron's interception late in the 4th, if Guilbeau isn't an idiot celebrating and blocks the UGA TE, Barron scores and we win

- GAs TD drive had 2 fumbles which they recovered (luck is sometimes a bitch)

The team has to be pissed about this loss. I'm hoping they use the anger to roll through the playoffs.

Best summary I’ve seen.  Kirby has a hard on for sark imo

My Georgia friends (not tonight) always say..... If you have a QB who can run or at least extend plays well, it will give Georgia (and most defenses) fits..... But if they don't have to stay honest on the QB, then they typically can make you one-dimensional.  While I don't necessarily agree with your summation, I do agree that it makes this version of Texas' offense with QE have very little margin for error..... Needed to play a clean game and played anything but.  QB owns some of it..... but not the lion's share.  I think the HC and OC has to wear a lot of this.

Add that ST got flat footed on a predictable fake punt when their punter was down with an injury.

This is what I don't understand.  You've got the QB Whisperer coach.  You've got a perfect 10, 5 star QB.  Receivers are great.  OL should have at least 4 make the NFL.  TE is amazing.  RB could be better, but it's not the worst.  The defense gives you the ball pretty quickly via turnovers or 3 and outs.  How is this team not wracking up points like, say, OU during the Riley years?  I'm not being facetious.  I'm truly curious.

QE is what he is. He’s regressed. Today was the best he’s looked since Michigan imo.
The receivers are not as good as last year. We had to expect a step back here. Needed bond to stay healthy. Running back is significantly worse than last year (Brooks, Baxter). We don’t have elite playmakers. We have an above average OL but we missed Banks at times tonight.

I thought of that a few mins later.

The point is of all of this is that this a boneheaded team loss, on the coaches and the players. There were plenty of opportunities to win this game. It just didn't happen. The team has to be even more pissed when they watch the game.

When UGA recovered the 2 fumbles, in addition to that sack and backwards pass by their sub QB which limped out of bounds, I was pretty sure UGA was destined to win this game. They had most of the luck.

Sometimes, it be do like that.

Texas and Ewers are trying to figure out how to win these sort of games. The good news is we’ll get to play someone else next week. Maybe bama. The bad news is if we win, we almost certainly play Georgia again. This bracket and the auto seeds are so fucked.

We'll play a Georgia without their punter and QB. Beck is not playing again this season with that injury. Bring it on.

I don't think it's bad news. I'm not one of those who think Georgia just got lucky. They are better than us where and when it counts. But there is something to be said for having to beat them to win it all. If some other team takes them out and we win, it will be a nagging, talking point always.

Ok? They played better with the backup QB. He won’t put anything on film until we see him again. That’s not great.

Georgia has crushed our run game twice now. Maybe we can block them next time, but we sat in 2nd and 10 for about three hours of real time.

Georgia decided they needed to stop the run and aligned defensively to do just that. Texas needed to throw the ball against that defensive alignment and make them pay. Trying to run up the middle against that defensive set was just asking for losses and Texas for the most part got them.

I’m 100% on the Sark train but his play calling has been suspect especially in the second half. There needs to be some accountability.

i do think Sark needs to look in mirror and hire an OC.  Perhaps I’m wrong but I don’t think a coach has won it all being the head coach and OC (or even DC).  I am pretty confident that both Saban and Kirby would have been ready for that fake punt and telling the players.  You have to wonder if Sark was thinking about the next offensive plays and not the play at hand.

With that said even with poor officiating, blaming the refs is the bitch move.  We got beat and I think we had the better team.

What plays do you want him to call when the QB is a statue and consistently underthrows open WRs? Quinn also can not read the middle of the field, so Georgia really has to defend very little of the field which is why our running game against them sucks. They give two shits about the eye candy because they know the QB is limited to where he will deliver the ball.

Fuck that

After the last decade wandering the desert, and another five years of good and bad, we have someone leading us out of the desert at a rapid pace, improving every phase of the game, and you're going to get impatient now?

We're so fucked when a really good defense only has to defend 25 yards.  Hell, we're pretty fucked with a sentient defense inside 25, but add in a killer front seven and we're turbofucked.

Every phase? ST is markedly worse this season and the offense is regressing. Defense is the one phase of the game that is performing at an elite level this season.

I can't remember the drive but we hit a big pass play for a 1st down. And the next 2 plays were runs that netted negative yards and boom, 3rd and long. And drive ended. I don't subscribe to running just for the sake of running. It wasn't working today at all. The pass was working, though. Almost any run we had, were momentum killers. You are spot on, pass against those defensive formations of them trying to stuff the run. Pass to set up the run against that, not the opposite. Keep passing and getting big gains and make them back off. Then break out some runs. We did it the opposite today. We had so many wasted plays today trying to run into the teeth of their defense that bullied us for 2 games this year.

But you know what would have helped tremendously? Having a QB like Arch in. They have to respect him. They don't respect Quinn at all when it comes to take of running. This made it very easy for them.

Sark had a very bad situational play call selection today.

Coach Banks needs to be fired at the end of this season. Our special teams suck. Sark probably needs to hire a playcaller so that he can focus on being a HC and game game manager, but it's not happening. Let's see what happens with Arch next year. An alpha QB can mask a lot of playcalling deficiencies. Quinn. Is not Him.

I'm not talking in terms of relative to Sark's own teams, but to his predecessors.

The main beef with ST is a kicker that was more than adequate last year and a defective punter post-injury.  Those are kind of unicorn issues.

But you need to take advantage. This year and last year, there's no Goliath juggernaut to slay. Michigan was nowhere near a juggernaut. We matched up with them way better than Washington did. But we blew that Washington game for a variety of reasons. This year, same thing. No team out there scares you. We had it all right in front of us to get a top seed and get a bye. Pretty much 3 weeks off to get healed up and get ready to win 3 in a row to bring it home. Still can win this year, but have now made it harder on us. Today was the worst case scenario. Having to play an extra game to add to the wear and tear. Blow the game. And now don't even get a bye.

Similarly, a strangely limited QB can magnify and create play calling deficiencies.  Is Ewers really even Sark's guy?  Or just a sort of gift horse?

Getting caught flat footed on a fake when the punter is in the locker room isn’t just on the players.
