(And I think our team is angry)

If our team takes their anger out on who deserves it, they will beat themselves again this week, lol.

I think we win the first two pretty convincingly.  Shit gets real in the semi-finals.

So we play at 3pm on the 21st. That's my dad's birthday. He passed a few years ago so hopefully he can put in a good word upstairs.

Saw the game is on TNT/Max?

Next game vs ASU is on Jan 1st at noon on ESPN.

Nope, computers/oddsmakers love ND.

It's a blessing we avoid them until the final.

I guess we don't have to worry about Skynet for a while.

AI is pretty dumb at the moment.

Sagarin isn't AI, it's just not as robust as it should be.  I suspect it's because there is just too much disconnect between schedules.

Calm and detached pregame Dvoracek:  "Texas is a great program with amazing players and a great tradition."

4th-Quarter, one-score-game Dusty:  "OH MY GOD THAT SHOULD BE A PENALTY ON TEXAS!!!!  THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!  THIS IS NOT FAIR!!!! FUCK THIS FUCKING PROGRAM!!!"

He's actually a good announcer.

Making good points now...SEC adds Texas and OU, two great programs, head of Big12 and outside Miss St this year, even Vandy was hard game, so arguably SEC got better this year yet only 3 teams got in because they beat up on each other.

What happened to all the dipshit media pundits that thought we’d fall behind PSU, Notre Dame, and OSU. Fucking morons.

I like our chances against everyone on our side of the bracket.

Nobody took them seriously besides Satya

Saban saying what I’m saying—there’s no need for hard OOC games anymore

I hate Nick. Hey Nick bama didn’t lose a OOC game and they didn’t play a tough OOC game unless Wisconsin is “tough”. Not sure I understand his complaint.

I love that Jan. 1 is wall to wall great games again. I miss that every year since the playoffs were created. There were many Jan. 1s watching the bowl games and doing the calculations of who wins or loses and how that will decide the final rankings.

This is even better.

This is a good point

Me too   I do think Clemson will give a better fight than we think.

and will keep saying not to overlook AZ St  they’ve been playing great football and destroying everyone for a month  they dismantled Iowa St.

we’ll be favored if we’re there and they’ll use it as motivation

Not saying we shouldn’t win, we absolutely should.

And Oregon matches up well with us  we’ll need our offense rolling by that game

Yeah no shit.  I really don’t understand the “not schedule anyone” BS. Bama didn’t schedule anyone this year.

as a matter of fact play a real team and not FCS cupcake in November and it would have helped your cause.

I want them in the final

It would poetic.  But the whole reason I think the 6 seed was better is the SMI/Boise(both over ranked imo) and a beat up Georgia team we know we can play with and beat, would have been a sweeter path.

Regarding a rematch with UGA:  oh hell no.  I think that heirarchy is pretty much written in stone at this point.

I would love to see Texas play Georgia again.

I would like to point out, at this juncture, that there is exactly one team that was in the playoffs last year that is also in the playoffs this year.
That team is the only team from last year that still has the same coach.

That team has a mascot so big that a domed stadium cannot hold it.

Texas could possibly beat the ACC champs, then the Big XII champs, then the Big Ten champs, then the SEC champs in consecutive games.  No way that has ever been done.

Holy shit I didn’t even realize it. A 12 team playoff and only 1 of last years playoff teams is in it. Fucking crazy.

If I am reading the NCAA website correctly.  might start happening with the super duper conferences.

Sooners/Huskers in Orange Bowl late 70s is only same conference Bowl matchup I can remember.

Eat shit. You played Mercer in November.  Your conference should have 8 more losses than it does.

so fucking much this! I just don't understand the people that want to reseed.  just seed it correctly in the first place.  you know, like the NCAA tournament has done for DECADES with no issue.

There have been issues for decades. The best team is supposed to win.

If you want conf championships to "mean something" and you want teams to keep scheduling hard schedules then reseeding solves this. You give #12 a chance but because they play such a weak schedule they're going to have to play the best team at every round.

For the team that has a killer schedule and goes 12-0 it is a reward at every round.

If no upsets (based on overall ranking), we'll be playing Ohio State at the Rose Bowl, Texas in Dallas, and Georgia in Atlanta. Ouch!

I live in Portland now and have several Ducks friends, I watch the second half of the game with a few. I'm not sure if I can swing it making it out there, but it would be so badass if Texas and Oregon met in the semi-final for the Cotton bowl.
