Arch was not going to do shit against Georgia either.

If you can’t run the ball even fucking John Elway in his prime wouldn’t do shit either.

That's stupid. Arch presents the run threat. As soon as Georgia's front has to deal with QB run as well as a mobile QB throwing from outside the pocket they can no longer just fire off the ball rushing to a single spot behind center. They have to use their eyes to read and react. That slows their pursuit down and gives the line advantages in blocking them. That opens up the run game for Wisner. That's how Milroe, Dart, and King helped their teams run all over them.

Dusty does study for his comments if you pay attention during his games. But im a little biased, I like his morning show on SXM with DK.

Dusty is actually competent and isn't a bad listen at all.  He's not some Longhorn hater. He actually gives us props. He's not the same dumbass as he was in college. The man grew up, realized he was a moron, and has been good to listen to during games. He's very tolerable and knows how to diagnose plays. Sooner or not, I like the dude as a commentator.

And even though the brain dead sooners on twitter constantly throw shade at him for doing this very thing, he continues to praise Texas. Actually, he makes fun of these sooners on the air.

One thing for sure…..

If we get by Clemson to play ASU the defense needs to understand you have to tackle Skattebo by the ankles.

Do not try and tackle him above the waist.

I remember when we played Pitt in the Bluebonnet Bowl back in the 80’s when they had Craig Ironhead Heyward  at running back.

He was 5-11 and 265 lbs. Talk about a bowling ball…..he was more like a fucking rhino running the ball.

I was screaming at the TV because we kept trying to tackle him up high in the first half and he was killing us by turning three yard gains into 8 yards.

Evidently my yelling from Jonestown was heard by Akers at halftime and we started to go for his ankles in the second half and he didn’t do shit.

Skattebo is the same type of runner.

First or second guy there has to go for his ankles.

Mukuba could graze one him on one shin and still have to hope they don't confirm the targeting call.

I'm worried about our offense...against Clemson.

Anyone who disagrees with this is a fucking liar. Clemson is going to be so up for this game and we’ll be playing under pressure of expectations.

Our offense struggled with Arkansas, Kentucky, Aggy, Vandy, Miss State, and actually really good defenses like OU and Georgia.

The only way this game ISN’T competitive is if we get a defensive TD and/or a special teams TD. Our offense isn’t scoring more than 20. I trust our defense to hold Clemson under 20.

I will be legitimately shocked if we hit 30 points in any of our remaining games this season outside of maybe ASU. It’s just remarkable given the amount of resources that have been given to that side of the ball.

This game will absolutely be a dog fight, especially if we don’t have a sizable lead at half time.

Depends on turnovers and field position and all that. Against A&M and Georgia it seemed like we always had to go a long way, hence why so many yards vs points.

Just want to say, anyone who is actually worried about Clemson should probably skip the game and finally put up that fence your wife has been complaining about.

There's a reason we're a -11 point favorite. They kinda suck.

No one is probably worried about Clemson most are worried about the Texas offense and special teams. No killer instinct and error prone from play calling to penalties. We are who we are by now and if we let a team hang around that has a coach that knows how to win it can be a problem.

This. I am worried our KO return man will run ball from 7yds deep in EZ and get tackled on 5 to start Texas behind the eight ball.

Add in shitty punting and FG work there is a recipe for ST just fucking this team.

Maybe we shouldn’t return kickoffs from our own fucking end zone and give up 15 free fucking yards? A man can dream, I guess. Banks’ special teams absolutely fucked away that SEC championship they better get their shit together.

I was dumbfounded -- though shouldn't have been -- when the game started with Golden bringing it out 5 yards deep and doing some lame fake lateral pass that fooled absolutely no one. And of course got tackled at the 10.

And I knew our special teams would once again fuck up in this game.

Banks' prep, coaching, adjustments -- you name it -- has not been stripper monkey worthy, to say the least.

It  is 100% on the table that our offense is held to 20 or less points vs. Clemson. In that scenario, there are plenty of ways we can lose.

Sark needs to take ownership of our struggles on that side of the ball and fix it. You cannot ask the defense to bail you out every single week, especially in the postseason. He's got 2 weeks to figure something out.

SP+ has Clemson with .8% title odds. Arizona State is the only one with lower odds .6%.

Those odds sound excessively high for both. There is no fucking way they could be those values and the entire 12 team field sum up to 100% thus its not a percentage...

If that happened now he would have gotten like 4 extra years out of it.

Thoughts:

Only one time since 2019 (LSU and their historic offense)) has a national champ not been in the Top 15 in scoring offense and defense nationally. The only teams who qualify this year are: Oregon, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Tennessee. Take it for what it’s worth, but I find it interesting.

Oregon and Notre Dame (and IU I guess) also have veteran quarterbacks, which is a big advantage. Those are my picks to make the title game.

I think Texas struggles with Clemson, mainly Klubnik. He’s gonna play lights out. He’s also the best qb we’ve faced all year, by a mile. Hope I’m wrong, but Clemson is scary to me.

Side note: I don’t know shit really.

Wonder how many of those 4 games Texas started the 3rd quarter by kicking off???

3 of the 4.  Only Aggy did we receive.

Here is a summary of 3rd Q offense drives:
Ark: FG, Punt
UK: Punt, fumble, fumble returned for TD
Aggy: Punt, Pick-6, Fumble
UGA: Punt, Missed FG (TD was early in 4th - drive started late 3rd)

Net actual points: for offense: -11.

Defense in 3Q:
Ark: Defense surrendered TD
UK: defense held them to 0
Aggy: defense held to 0
UGA: TD + FG

Forgot the Etienne TD in 3rd for UGA - sigh

They haven't done much offensively against decent to good defenses either.   I haven't dove in much yet but offenses seem similar on paper with the Texas D being a lot better.  There is a reason we are favored by 10.  I don't think it will be an easy game though for all the reasons everyone is saying.  For whatever reason we just can't put it together on offense.  Turnovers, penalties, drops, pressure, red zone play calling, etc.  It seems like it's always something that fucks up good drives and it's been an issue this entire season since conference play started outside of the Florida game (and that took an incredibly aggressive 4th down play call to kick start the offense).  It's who we are at this point.  The good news is every single piece is there to put an offensive game together to beat anyone and even a C+ offensive game should be good enough to win the next 2 if our elite defense shows up

Not even sure what Sirius/XM channel it was this morning, but the Klubnik has a score to settle narrative has already started. Sports talk guys are the worst. Maybe just a little research?

DFEI, Points for Clemson opponents.  The only team with a top-50 DFEI that they scored more than 25 on was SMU.  14 of the points in the first quarter were TD drives of 33 and 28 yards.

Defense gave up a TD to UGA in the 3rd.

But otherwise, yeah. And against A&M the offense had two great drives, we just fucked them up at the end. And we had two good drives against UGA, we just missed a FG and had the other end at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

I do agree with fucked around in the 3rd against UK.

Anyway, this is a dumbass narrative.
