I know Texas has a tendency to piss down their own leg but I feel people thinking the 10.5 line is crazy haven’t watched Clemson this year. They’re like 2 plays away from being a 5 loss team.

I do think the line is a little low but for me it's more about the Texas offense's tendency to stumble around even in games that aren't competitive. I do not expect the game to feel in doubt but I also don't expect Texas to light the scoreboard up against a serviceable defense.

Implies score of 32-20 feels high to me, on both sides. ~24-10 feels about right to me.

Incoming 45-42 now.

I feel like it’s a bit concerning that we are supposed to have an offensive genius has a coach and he produces this. And last year with the red zone

It’s worrisome that an “offensive genius” can’t score more than 40 points in the last 10 quarters…. Or can look at last night’s game and think Quinn played great. There’s definitely a disconnect going on. Hopefully they figure something out in the next couple of weeks. Wouldn’t be shocked if we lost to Clemson or won a championship.

2007 Holiday Bowl (Never forget), and feel free to look past Clemson……..

“In the second quarter, ASU's Rudy Carpenter led the Sun Devils to a first down at the Texas 14-yard line. They lost one yard on first down and an incomplete pass set up third and eleven.[25] Carpenter attempted another pass but threw the ball hurriedly in an effort to avoid a sack by Texas linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy. The ball hit the ground and the officials initially threw a flag for intentional grounding; it would later be ruled a backwards pass which becomes a fumble once it hits the ground. The ball continued to bounce towards the Texas sideline with players from both teams in pursuit. The most bizarre event of the game occurred as the ball came close to the sideline.[28][29]

220px-2007_Holiday_Bowl_second_quarter_interference.JPG The controversial play where Chris Jessee and other Texas personnel were on the field.

Chris Jessee, a member of the Longhorns football operations staff and Mack Brown's stepson, stepped onto the field and bent down as if to pick up the bouncing ball. Jessee thought that the ball was an incomplete forward pass and he was making the signal for intentional grounding as he stepped forward. The ball came close to Jessee's hands but it was not clear if he managed to touch it or if it bounced over his hands cleanly.[23][28] Texas' Roy Miller slapped the ball, keeping it in-bounds. Aaron Lewis picked up the ball and advanced it 13 yards to the Arizona State 44-yard line.[29]

Replay officials took 12 minutes to review the play.[29] On the video replays, the ball comes very close to Jessee's hands but it does not seem to change speed or trajectory as it goes past them. Despite the video replays providing no conclusive proof that Jessee had actually touched the ball officials ruled that he had made contact.[28][30][31] The ball was declared dead at that point and the officials declared that Jessee had committed illegal interference; they declared an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty assessed against Texas. The ball went back to the Sun Devils and they were awarded half the distance to the goal, giving ASU fourth-and-3 at the 7-yard line.[29][32] On the next play, Carpenter threw a touchdown pass to Chris McGaha to make the score 21–7 Texas.[29]

Texas is 10-0 in games they have gone to the locker room at half with a 10+ point lead

Texas is 1-2 in games where they have not gone to the locker room at half with a 10+ point lead

As has been the case all season the script is to jump on them in the first half and then let the defense strangle the life out of them in the second half.  We go to the locker room up by 10 or more points, feel good.  If we don't....hold on to your butts.

#33.
Our special teams haven't been as bad as people think. While Bert sucks and our punter sucks, we don't give up big returns in the kicking game. We also don't have huge negative plays on returns.
I can honestly live with the short punts because teams don't have any return game against us. Bert is the one that needs to get his shit together.

Don’t forget about taking the opening kickoff out of the end zone, the false start on a made FG, and not guarding against a fake punt after a team lost their punter.

Special teams was fucking terrible yesterday.

Big thing for Clemson will be how healthy they are at RB.

Their 2nd string RB (Haynes) was carted off last night and sounds like a serious injury. Their starting RB (Mafah) is battling through some type of injury and has only rushed for 17, 14, 66, and 28 yards in the last 4 games.

If Mafah isn't healthy they're going to have issues at RB.

Quinn looks like a guy who will offer you a Miller high life and lie about a fish he caught.

Klubnick looks like a guy that will tell you about his father and then invite your girlfriend to Aspen.

Also, which one looks like he has the ethnic surname?  For that matter, Quinn looks more like the Cade, or Kade.

Yeah I’m seeing quite a few “Clemson will shock Texas” takes.

Mainly offensive issues related to their DL vs our OL and Quinn. Basically Georgia put out the blueprint.

Clemson lost a few times, did nobody find any blueprints to beating them?

I hope Clemson uses the Georgia blueprint. I’m sure they’ll be able to replicate it with no issues.

I mean, right?  Clemson ranks 75th in rushing defense, 60th in passing defense, and 65th in total defense.  Anyone can take a blueprint, but not everyone can build (execute) on the design if you don’t have the same tools.  That looks more like aggy than Georgia’s defense to me.
