Karaban with almost a double-double at the half, with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Texas has nobody like that on this team and has a high basketball IQ.

All of Hurley's guys leave his program with high basketball IQ. Klingan is looking quality in his limited minutes introduction and Stephon Castle is in the rookie of the year running. Dude plays like a 3 to 4 year veteran 22 games into his career.

Tre Johnson is going to have to be completely reconditioned when he arrives in the NBA.

Have a friends dad who used to talk about snook Texas basketball team from back then. And how they would whoop your ass for 4 qtrs.

When a class B (1A now) basketball team gets a story in Sports Illustrated you bet it was something special. I saw them play so many times and they were just crazy good.

Same era as some of the great Houston Wheatley dynasty teams. They didn’t lose.

I know we are in the NC hunt with football, but has @closetojumping heard anything regarding RT?

This team is nowhere near prepared.

I don’t think he’s in any danger right now and his team looking like dogshit against UConn on defense probably doesn’t move the needle.

Poor conference and tournament performance, obviously, probably changes all of that.

The biggest thing about RT’s time so far is that it just seems like everyone is resigned to waiting for it to collapse without wanting to see that happen. Everybody likes him and hopes he can make it work. Reminiscent of Napier at UF in many facets.

Things would be so much better on offense if Tre was running around everywhere through screens without the ball like Steph Curry. Instead the whole offense is him playing ISO ball. That won’t beat tournament level teams very often, I don’t care how good he is.

Texas player movement away from the ball is pathetic
