Would’ve have liked to keep Savea for next year’s DL rotation.  Find it hard to believe that he wouldn’t be in that mix.

We’ll be fine in the secondary without Cole.

FKB acting like a roster expert is ridiculous

Oh yeah Kurt? Not surprised to see third and fourth string dudes who haven't played in months in the portal? Where do you get this insight, and can it be taught?

How would a guy who refused to enter a game become a good leader?

people change. people get better. not sad he's gone just hoping we had talent remaining on the roster to become the next surprise. the last few DL senior classes had major surprises. that's all.

I would have been far more confident getting Aggie left overs last year (Nolen and Overton) than I am this year, but fuck beggars can't be choosers.

are bledsoe, gullette, and akana confirmed?  don’t remember seeing anything about them leaving.

Maybe right, maybe wrong, at my advanced age, I see one thing I can't shake...when you give a commitment, you stick with it..you don't cry because things didn't go perfect so you take your ball and go home, waaaaaa

was hoping Sydir would be the next DT to make a giant leap with the opportunity to step up into a leadership role. oh well.

Mitchell could take giant leap and you still couldn’t slide a piece of paper under his ass. Bye.

To lose so much depth when pretty much all out playing time depth is leaving.... surely it means they were pushed out bc we got some beef on the way right????

No. There's no plan. Those guys who never played or improved and were complete dead roster space were actually the future of the program. We're completely fucked.

Sydir doesn't fit either of those descriptions seeing how he played more last 4 games and did improve from bench player to making tackles in games.

He made a couple tackles while needing to be babied by the staff and pulled down six figures in NIL for production that a relatively cheap fill-in like Bill Norton easily outclassed.

In some ways, worse than just dead roster space.

Didn't realize he pulled that much money 😅 dayum.

Hope there is indeed a plan to restock the cupboard

It takes a special talent to Bagdad Bob our DT outlook for next year, but tex is always up to the challenge.

Minister of Public Information has a nice ring to it.

Nah, the roster situation is bad, but it's more related to Bo Davis losing his eye for evaluation than the current staff being clueless. Sounds like at minimum there's a decent-sized warchest ready for the Portal.

Did he lose his eye? Because I’m still trying to think of many/any talents Davis recruited to Texas.

I agree. And, obviously, the willingness to go all in on Terry is a fantastic sign. Personally (and speaking as a complete ignoramus when it comes to NIL allocation), I'd hope that Sark focuses more of his dollars on the DT room rather than chasing this year's Isaiah Bond or AD Mitchell. I think you can have a plus WR room with Wingo, Moore, the current younger guys, the 5 Star freshmen, and maybe you can get Golden at a Whittington price to return depending on his draft outlook.
