2025 ACL

Same; Weekend 1.  Price is the same as last year, with exception charging a nominal fee for basic USPS delivery, which has historically been included in the ticket price.  Still an incredible deal regardless of the lineup.  There are guaranteed to be a handful of bands I know and like, and another handful I discover on Spotify in the weeks leading up to ACL.

Before this past year, I had listened to a bit of Jungle but not much.  They were so good I went back weekend 2 to see them from the rail.  Mannequin Pussy was unknown to me, as was Goose.  Both were amazing!  Each year will have amazing bands that the masses will overlook as they only look at the very top of the lineup... the gold is lurking below.

I'm traditionally Weekend 1.  But I haven't been to Texas/OU since 2010, and I'd love to take my wife who's never been, so we might go Weekend 2.  Back when I attended the OU game every year, ACL was in late September and didn't conflict.

Texas/ou is typically the second weekend of October.

It was not that long ago that "early bird tickets," at the lowest tier price, sold out within a few hours of going on sale.

Wasn't it a point of advertising in the early years that attendance was limited, to improve both safety and the viewing experience? The pics from the last few years prove that's gone out the window, if it ever was actually true.

Yes they used to advertise that. The problem in recent years is they’ll have someone on each of the main stages, but one of them will have blown up right before ACL and another won’t. So it isn’t like they’ve oversold, it’s just that while the festival is designed to have the crowd evenly distributed, the crowd in virtual entirety decides to go see one act. Chappell Roan was that act this year.

This makes sense ... the pics from Roan last year made me queasy just looking at them.
