File this one under obituaries that aren't as hard to read as others: Jean-Marie Le Pen.

Wait, that old bat was 96?  She had to set some sort of record for most elections lost. Seemed like she lost another one every couple of months.

The older brothers were a good band musically. They became overshadowed behind Donnie and Marie and that style.

Not quite country and not quite rock-n-roll.  You really had to be a little bit of one or the other or a little bit of both.

One thing to celebrate Jimmy Carter for is being the father of craft beer.  Carter legalized home brewing, which eventually led to craft breweries and beers like Sam Adams and all the microbreweries across the nation.  Anyone not drinking Budweiser, Miller, or Michelob Ultra should raise a pint.  Please, raise one for me too since I don't drink anymore.

That may be the most Osmond thing I've seen short of The Brady Bunch Kids. Bad song, weird choreography and matching bell bottom outfits.

First someone from Peter, Paul and Mary, then from Sam and Dave. Daryl Hall & John Oates, and 2/3 of Crosby, Stills & Nash....we're watching you.

Bill McCartney, a three-time coach of the year in the Big Eight Conference who led the Colorado Buffaloes to their only national football title in 1990, has died. He was 84.

McCartney died Friday night "after a courageous journey with dementia," according to a family statement.

"Coach Mac touched countless lives with his unwavering faith, boundless compassion, and enduring legacy as a leader, mentor and advocate for family, community and faith," the family said in its statement. "As a trailblazer and visionary, his impact was felt both on and off the field, and his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he inspired."

One of the best quotes I have ever read.  Not just about football, but about life.

"Here's what football does: It teaches a boy to be a man," McCartney told USA Today in 2017. "You say, 'How does it do that?' Well, what if you line up across from a guy who's bigger, stronger, faster and tougher than you are? What do you do? Do you stay and play? Or do you turn and run? That's what football does. You're always going to come up against somebody who's better than you are.

"That's what life is. Life is getting knocked down and getting back up and getting back in the game."

RIP Coach...

I know she had a kid with the QB that died of cancer. Don't know of any other pregnancies but from the stuff I remember, she tried to bang every dude on the team.
