I just noticed that the Dallas Stars have a similar slogan this year - "Be Loud, wear green". Anyone know where our slogan started? Was it Mack?

In case you didn't know, prior to 1998, it was pretty much guaranteed that the student section would not fill up until the 2nd quarter, and nobody ever fucking wore orange.

God himself.

But seriously, at the end of the Mack era and the CS era it was kind of a joke, because students literally came late, left early, weren't loud, and wore whatever...

Two things got the fanbase really fuckin jacked up:

When Mack told people to wear orange, come early, be loud, and stay late. And when the jumbotron played George Thorogood's Bad to The Bone during Mack's first Spring Game. People were like, holy shit this stadium is gonna be jacked!!!

It was a different, innocent time.

The student section today is way worse than it was in the mid-90s.

Back then, some folks showed up late, but at least they gave a shit about the game once they got there.

How do you expect the kids today to show up when they can't get a signal on their phones inside the stadium?
Maybe we should say "fuck the SEZ, use the money for Wi-Fi hotspots and usb chargers on every seat"
