What happens to Kern? Does he lose his scholarship?

Awesome get. Glad to see the shitty punting situation addressed.

I had a teammate in UT intramurals long ago that could punt better than Kern.

No, seriously, can he play against Clemson?

No, IIRC Football is a 1st Semester sport, so would have to be enrolled in school for fall...as the spring semester has not started yet, even though finals are over.

I remember last year Will Rogers transferred to UW during the playoff and traveled with them and I think suited up in a game.

Kern played in 11 games.  In 9 of those games, his longest punt was shorter than Bouwmeester's yearly average.

Long of 39, 42, 52, 49,40,42, 42, 42, 44,43, 39.

He didn't play for 2 teams in the same season.

The answer is still No.

You can't play for 2 teams in the same college football season, not now, not then.

Why do people keep asking this stupid shit?

Statistically, the Crimmins (Purdue) and Bouwmeester (Utah), were very similar.

Crimmins: 64-2871 (44.9), net of 41.8 (top 25), 27% inside 20.
Bouwmeester: 60-2680 (44.7), net of 40.4 (top 50), 38% inside 20.

Crimmins was honorable mention in the big10, behind Czaplicki (USC - 48.5, 45.7, 60%), Eckley (MSU - 47.9, 41.2, 14%), and Dakin (Iowa - 44.2, 40.0, 45%).

For what it's worth.

Because it would be incredibly helpful to have a better punter in the playoffs and we don't know the ins and outs this fairly recent transfer portal thing? Why don't you go fuck yourself?

I'd assume he stays and hopefully a couple offseasons and another year he's ready to go when Bouwmeester moves on.

So is he eligible of Jan 20th if we make it that far?

The spring semester at the University of Texas at Austin typically begins on the Tuesday after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Here are some key dates for the spring semester of 2025:
  • January 6: Tuition payment deadline for undergraduate students
  • January 9–12: Registration for all students
  • January 10: University residence halls open
  • January 13: First day of classes

How do you pronounce this guy's name?

Bow Meester

Boo Meester

Bow Mister

Boo Mister

"Bow Mister" is the pronunciation of the NHL hockey defenseman Jay Bouwmeester (no relation), so I bet you say it the same.

Also FWIW: On average, Crimmins also punted in thicker air.

My high school punter averaged more yards than Shane Lechler his senior year in high school, same year and division level. Dumbass didn’t go anywhere to play because of some girl or some shit.  Lechler also beat our ass as qb when we played them.
