Late to the party, but looking for a college counselor for HS Juniors, who are behind the curve on figuring out where they want to undergraduate party while procrastinating further on what to do with their lives.  Mrs. Tonesky has been working on this, but just got a "we're full for this cycle" letter, and has no plan B or C....  Any recommended college counselors based on relatively recent personal experience?

Texas State take a bunch of undergrad classes the first couple years and give them time to decide what they want to do.  If boys bang a bunch of coeds while doing undergrad basics, profit?  This new way of thinking that by the time you’re a sophomore or junior in high school you should know what you want to do with your life is odd to me.

I am not concerned that they have not planned their life at age 17.  I am interested in consulting with a private counselor to help them choose some good options, based on a variety of factors defined by parents (e.g., budget) and them (e.g., geography, school size).

I am no college counselor, but I did used to run a 1-credit-hour College Orientation course when I was teaching. It was ten weeks of variations on "Show up. Show up. Show up."

Kid shows up, you got a dinette set. They don't, you got dick.

Houston, but I think this is something pretty easily done remotely.
