Might suggest, for the sake of your seat neighbors, swapping the sombrero for a lucha libre mask?

The hat is necessary for the full charro outfit look.  I will not denigrate my heritage by mixing fashions.  Plus, for those early season games, a good shade-providing hat is important.  Pinche gringo.

Personally, I think you'd be more effective in making a public display of your fan support in a different kind of charo outfit.

It seems like the train was going to fast through a town, but maybe small towns like Pecos they don't have to slow down.

I live in a small town with a busy track. They do NOT slow down.

In the 20 years I've lived here, three people have been killed by a train- 2 were walking on the tracks, one was passed out on the tracks. I assume fell down while drunk and just didn't get up.

At least they died doing what they loved- having a train run on them.

If you’re ever become a bum (or hobo) don’t make enemies and then drink near tracks. Apparently one way fellow bums get revenge is wait until you pass out and then drag you to where your legs are on the tracks and the rest of you isn’t. Took care of a few patients that had that happen to them over the years

Several photos of the aftermath. It appears the long tube that was slammed into the old train depot (now chamber of commerce ruins) an entire block from the intersection was part of an oil field construction project heading north of town.

May be an image of train, railroad and text

May be an image of combine, snowplow, train, lumberyard, railroad and text

May be an image of 5 people

No photo description available.

It does look like a wind mill uh post.  I’m no commercial pilot but I think that driver might should have stopped in front of the tracks when waiting for the light.

also I’m more than a little surprised that a flat bed trailer and load would cause any derailment.  How did the locomotive not just kick it to one side or break it in half, and keep going?

Conductor of the train died at the scene. The engineer passed a few hours later. That truck had been stuck on that crossing for 43 minutes and not a single phone call had been made to any emergency entity or even the railroad to alert them of the issue.

Pilot car driver(s) should go to jail for that bullshit.

I used to buy into that myth that the average IQ was 100, and there was a bell shaped distribution centered around that point. Now I'm convinced that its all bullshit, and  about 90 percent of this country is running around with an IQ of 70 or less.

Come to work with me for a day and you’ll up that to 96%

Wait.  Why do oversized loads have escort and tail vehicles again?

I've never driven either the oversized( like in the pic) or the escort vehicles, but it seems to reason that the lead vehicle fucked up, in addition to the truck driver.

Oversized commercial vehicles/equipment should only be transported at night.

1) Trying to figure out what that cargo was.  Maybe part of the post for a commercial windmill?
2) WHEW.  That came close to hitting the West of the Pecos Museum, which is a freaking treasure.  Seriously, lots of cool shit in there, definitely worth a stop.

Nope.  If you want to kill somebody without getting caught, get them drunk/drugged, and dump them on train tracks near a small town. You can be miles away when it happens.

Wait, what?  If that proves to be true, there are more than one persons who need to be prosecuted.
