Worried about running lanes for Klubnik?

Or better blocking?

I don't know.

I mean I gave it to him. Or he can go watch who was on the field on some of those throws. 88 isn't a good pass rusher. We saw that last year. So when we get caught without 11 and 8 on the field while trying to maintain rush lane integrity you get what you got.

1. Zone is not our thing. The 12 yard out killed us. Klubnik had the timing and arm to hit that in defiance of our defense.
2. The we got away with offensive PI (extending the arm in a push off and got under his skin

3. He held up in the end and we stopped them on first down.

What was up with Malik Muhammad getting bullied today? Hopefully, it was a great learning experience for him, he had his worst game of the season.

The 2nd half was a disaster for several of our DBs.

He pushed off because the defender was holding him the entire time.

Hill. I think he got pulled some after that because he was bad in coverage.

I think he was on the right side whoever this was on the left looked like a 2 digit number

No, their offense is a bit better, especially the passing game. But their defense is way way way behind Tennessee. Either Tennessee didn't show up or OSU is flexing some muscle and will give Oregon the fight of the 2nd round.  I didn't watch that game so not sure how it got so lopsided.

We were the only team that didn't comfortably cruise to the first round win over an overmatched opponent. We should have, but this team just doesn't play ball in the 3rd quarter ever.

We absolutely did cruise which is why it got to a one score game for a minute just like Georgia did vs us the first game but somehow that was an all time ass kicking and this game was a struggle. Lol

Uh, Clemson was overmatched af. They are just well coached. I haven't watched on TV, but on offense it looked completely different from a speed perspective in person.

They came to play and didn't give up, the rest of the teams gave up down 21, the difference was clemson does have real championship level in game coaches, the rest of the teams had whoever.

Clemson's  QB didn't shit on himself was the difference.

It’s fantastic to wake up knowing we won the first playoff game ever at DKR and are headed to a reasonable next round matchup. This is fun.

Sucks its not on the ASU campus but in a state that doesnt involve either team

Bonus points for ou watching the first playoff from the sideline and being largely forgotten about for the last three years because they finally fucked up a coaching hire.

Finally fucked up a qb hire too.

Yes it was him he just fucked that play up slide in zone to the side, from the middle, and left the middle wide open. Atrocious.

We beat the ACC champion who was playing with house money and nothing to lose and is coached by one of the two coaches in this CFP with national titles under his belt.

Twas a good day.

Wooderson is a super fan and that’s great and all, but it’s been like 20 years now- does tv have to show him 5x a game doing his thing?

I'll take 2 more decades of Wooderson and the Undertaker, provided there is a per-game 30-second limit on mariachi - All in the first half.

And it sucks extra hard that it’s Atlanta.

Back from the stadium. I've never seen someone actually look like they were shot out of a cannon. JFC Blue. I hope he had one of those gps things on.  Maybe Romance? Like a fuckin' rocket.

Blue run last night immediately reminded me of the 80+ yard JC run against Nebraska in ‘07. But I was at this ^^ game - his freshman year - and holy shit his speed/acceleration was incredible.

I thought he slid because OL were getting down field. I’m probably wrong though. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Could have run for about 5 yds.  It was weird decision. I like Ewers but his head scratching decisions detract from what could be excellence. Over the past two years. He should be over most of them by now.

Part of it is that they tried Barron and the safeties, but had no luck,  So when they got one big play off MM, they kept going back to it.

Disagree with number 1, we barely play man in non-situational scenarios.  This was the best WR corp we've seen by far, they attacked the soft parts of the zone and made plays.

He wasn't gaining anything on that play much less 5 yards

SECN post game.  Roland Harper and Tebow agreed on two things.  Texas is a deep and complete team.  Texas needs to put opponents away.

Conclusion I heard … Sark can recruit.  Sark should stick with what’s working and stop making things difficult.  Harper used the word “cute” …

Klubnik was excellent in the second half. Multiple high level throws against solid coverage. But Clemson could never run the ball and the game was never in doubt once we went up 21-7.

We got pretty conservative in the second half, probably because of the injury situation on the OLine. Not Sark’s best playcalling effort but you had to think he knew it was over at half and there were still three games to go.

What am I looking at here?

It means from an efficiency standpoint we dominated the game. Basically a “look at the box score blind and tell me who won” sort of snapshot.

Teams win games with win expectancy less than 50 percent of even close to 0. Typically in games where they are dominated in yardage but win due to turnovers, missed kicks, etc.

Wingo has been a bit of a disappointment.  He does not win contested catches and does not ever high point the ball.  His one trick is speed.

He’s a true freshman.

It was a great performance overall. Klubnik is the best QB we have faced all year, so it's not surprising to me that he gashed our DBs some, but the important thing is we tightened things up in the RZ and were able to limit the points given up.

My only pet peeve is us coming out flat after halftime. I wish we could figure out why we continue to struggle putting teams away in the second half. If we continued to play in Q3 like we play the first half, most of our games would have been blowouts.
