I do not remember ever noticing that totally unnecessary and currently illegal block by some very focused wr but I wish to highlight and celebrate it.

Funny. My split second reaction seeing the gif was ‘oh,no!’

Despite his goonerness, you gotta at least grudgingly respect Heupel as a pretty, pretty good college QB that basically launched the Stoops/OU/Bag of Dicks dynasty.  And then to do as well as he has as a college coach.

But geez, dude, get a grip on the bread, Doritos, and m&ms.

Fuck that fat bag of chewed bubble gum. I hope he has a nervous breakdown when his wife finally cracks becomes his peen is under a fat flab and she throws up a little in her mouth.

Blue run last night immediately reminded me of the 80+ yard JC run against Nebraska in ‘07. But I was at this ^^ game - his freshman year - and holy shit his speed/acceleration was incredible.

In addition to his blazing acceleration, love the beautifully violent, and absolutely unnecessary cross-field block -- cherry on top of the play.

No. Clemson is more talented. Tenn has been a paper tiger all season. It got lopsided because Tenn isn't that good and OSU has speed for days.

Tennessee's defense continuously looked like they underestimated Ohio ST.'s speed.

Our first possession of the third quarter took up almost half the quarter. 14 plays, 71 yards. Had 1st and goal from the 5 and had to settle for a FG. Tough but I’d call that a good start to the half. Then the defense immediately forces a 3 and out and we get the ball back with 5:30 left in the quarter up 31-0. We immediately go 3 and out with the patented low line drive punt from Kern allowing for Clemson to start from their own 45. 4 plays, 55 yards, TD. We get the ball back. 16 yard pass to Helm, Golden PI for 15 yards, Blue run for 8 yards. 2nd and 2 and we get our first penalty of the game which basically kills the drive. Ends on the 4th and 2 incomplete pass.

Lose the quarter 7-3.

There have been multiple references to Muhammad getting torched several times. I may be completely wrong, but I thought two of the several were situations where he picked up receivers that weren’t covered by someone who busted an assignment.

He was turning around and throwing his hands up every time he got posterized so either he’s a whiny bitch or you’re on to something.

Another lovely crackback block that now is "illegal" because even if it wasn't a crackback, it'd be flagged for being "too hard".

There were some communication issues on defensive assignments, but Muhammad was getting bullied too against Moore from Clemson.

I was annoyed he didn't turn around when the ball was in the air on even one of those catches...

it was offensive pass interference a couple times.  but he has to be tougher for sure.

The best part of the Blue run was he got hit around the LOS, shook it off, accelerated, and was gone. Blue hasn't had the greatest luck after contact. His run was electric. Agree that it reminded me of Ramonce with that beautiful end around against oSu. That RT run is easily in my top 5 of UT plays.

Indeed.

Not being able to finish the first drive of the 3rd quarter with a TD is emblematic of how things usually go for us in the 2nd half. Despite having a perfect drive we had to settle for a FG, which must have been a little deflating for the offense. Then it got worse until Blue burst out a big one.

Good grief!  have been away from the computer, so just now getting to what I am sure you guys have covered in detail...

 1. Why do we play this pussy-soft zone D, just stand there and watch the receivers run by us and then watch them catch the ball?

Cade was very good, but he is not the best we will face? So we've got to have something ready as a change up?  Maybe man to man?  Maybe run with with the guy when he comes near you?

My totally uninformed opinion is that it must be easier to teach/call a zone D than man to man...but you guys tell me.

2. Love the running, it is our best chance.  I know QE probably drew some criticism here, but I loved his long ball and  great catch.   if QE could somehow do that twice a game....I know, too much to ask.

3. D proved again you don't go straight up against us on the goal line and expect to win.  I'm glad Dabo and company didn't watch our video against Aggy.

Overall, I feel like this was the worst pass D we have played in a long time and we still won by 14?  Least comfortable 14 point win I remember.

I expect #5 to have an all-world game after his poor performance yesterday.

I told my dad during the game that what is really going to determine national champion is luck and injuries, especially luck with injuries, because these guys have never played this many D-1 games in a season.  The freshmen might actually have an advantage because they played 15 if they went all of the way to state in Texas.

Here's to getting our guys back for the next game, getting a big lead and letting them rest!

Is it just me or where a lot of those Clemson drag plays across the middle of the field borderline, offensive pass interference,?

YES!  Was screaming about that during the game, the dog, the cat, most of the family went and hid.

I was shocked how early their fans left. A big group left at halftime

There really weren’t that many of them. I saw a few going up the stairs, but there were no Clemson fans anywhere around me. Like none anywhere that I could see for a couple of sections, at least. That said, the ones I saw before and after the game seemed positive and not obnoxious. Didn’t see a single horns down yesterday. That was different.

Of course dude.  I decided on his name as a handle because of the hit that knocked Bo Jackson out of the 1984 game in Austin and half the season, but more importantly, the best interception in college football history to that point, the int. against Auburn in Auburn in 1983.

I don't know if we talked about DBU before Gray, but we definitely talked about DBU at some point years later and it was in large part because of Jerry Gray.

The best factoid ever IMO is that ESPN deleted the 1984 Jerry Gray hit because of Bo's celebrity status?  or famous 4.2 40 combine?

Who knows but it's gone from the ESPN version.  Nobody can accurately describe the play, but I will give it a shot.  Gray is on the opposite side of the field as Bo is running and appears to be headed for a TD.  Gray runs faster than Bo ever has across the field probably at least 70 yards, takes a perfect angle,  and hits Bo so hard it either separated or broke his shoulder.

Great stuff!

Im just gonna say that Penn St and OSU looked better than I think they actually are because it was too fucking cold for SMU and Tennessee

Knoxville is a 4 1/2 hour drive from Columbus. It’s not like they have never experience similar weather.

If you're going to play man vs a qb that can run you better not let him loose

good, so from your memory, about far did Jerry run to catch Bo?  I've wondered if someone could do one of those scientific explanations of how fast Jerry was running in mph, how far etc. and extrapolate a 40 time from that.

This is the part where we laugh at the misery of Clemson fan. All quotes are from Tigernet.com. Faves are bolded. Enjoy!!!!

"Just cut it to 8 teams. This is too much of an home field advantage, these games were a farce. Enough already."

"This is supposed to be a HOME game for the home team. It’s no different than a regular season home game. It’s not a neutral site playoff game. Why are we bitching and moaning?"

"From what I saw, our home field advantage doesn't compare to what I saw this weekend. We've got some work to do in regard to fan engagement, music, pompoms, beverages, drone shows, lights, etc. Death Valley is not what it used to be unfortunately."

"ESPN is out to get us because Dabo is Christian." (I like this one a lot)

"Sick of hearing about the first round blow outs. It's all part of the plan for the SEC and B1G to break away from NCAA and form a new money league. Like a semipro league modeled around profit instead of education."

"After watching Texas several times this year I told them I actually thought you guys could beat them. I think being stopped on the 2 yard line, and then Texas scoring took a lot of air away. I even told my brother-in-law to bet on Clemson. Unfortunately, you caught them on a day they were running on all cylinders."

"Not only is the home field a disadvantage but allowing less fans of the visiting team is as well, as is not making sure their entire Band is invited too."

"You would think having a top notch soccer team on campus you could find someone to be a great punter."

"Nothing like accepting another year of mediocrity and a few more steps closer to total irrelevance"

"The officiating was horrid all night but it’s further proof that Clemson is irrelevant. All those talking about heart and playing their tails off and never giving up?? That’s what losers say to make them feel better. It’s the equivalency to a blind date with a girl with a great personality."

"There has got to be some sort of penalty for intentionally false posts. Seems like this could be construed as libel."

Bravo for being in the band which may be the most under appreciated part of our athletic program.

Not to me or Coach Royal especially in Fayetteville back in 1969.

The Longhorn Band was a huge part of that incredible victory and coach always gave them the credit they so rightfully deserve.
