Whoever Parker is, that's not even funny.

I'm in NZ, and people on the other side of the globe are all recognizing the Longhorn logo.

Same thing happened when I wore my gear in Bangkok last year. I was getting shoutouts from Swedes, Poms, Kiwis, Frogs, etc. Probably less than 10% of the US population outside of AZ would recognize the ASU logo.

How do you even tackle a guy like that?  Go low around the ankles or something?

I've seen low around the ankles and needing to tackle high as well. The correct answer is you have to tackle him by the dick. Gotta skattebop that thing to get him to the turf.

The Arizona/California radio guys were about what you’d expect today. Everybody has counted this team out all year. Nobody gave Skattebo a chance. Nobody gave Leavitt a chance. This team hasn’t lost a game since September that Leavitt has started. This time doesn’t care. They’ll be ready to play.

Completely glossed over no Tyson and level of competition. Boise’s defense is better and Jeanty is a better back. We couldn’t ask for an easier draw in the quarterfinals.

Agree to disagree. I'm not worried like some posters here, but Skattebo has elite balance and breaks all forms of tackles, has plenty of speed, and catches the ball just about as good as any RB in college football. He is very shifty in the backfield, as well. Watch his tape again. Just because he's a bigger, white RB doesn't mean he doesn't have some elite traits. He's Bijan-esque on many of his highlights. He'd be RB1 at Texas this season.

That being said, I think a lot of that will be neutralized when Texas dominates at the LOS and Skattebo has no running lanes.

Skittleboo is interesting.  He hits the hole hard and has enough quickness to where tackler's are often not getting a square shot on him, then he's got more than enough power to run through the arm tackles.  That aspect of his game reminds me of Emmit Smith Eric Metcalf.

I could have worded that better. Boise has a better defense than ASU.*

I think Boise’s defensive line specifically is better. They have a couple dudes while Arizona State has Swanson and Durbah in their 2 deep.

They're pretty comparable I think but they're definitely the two weakest defenses in the playoffs.

DFEI has Boise #31 and ASU #35.

Let’s look at this way. What about Etienne’s game gave Texas fits? Does Skattebo have any similar traits?

No. I don’t see a white guy being an uber athletic black guy(i do not include cooper dejean in this statement).

Of course, but he’s a good back too. What did Etienne do to use when he got the second level? Can Skattebo do something similar?

His stats are all over the board. Wyoming held him to 49 yards, Tx State 62, Tceh 60, K State 73. Then 262 against Miss State and 4 other games at 150+. He obviously can turn it on but he can be shut down too.

Yeah… I’ll hang my hat on them almost losing to Texas State as ASU’s weakest data point.

Come on. Skattebo would certainly play for Texas. He would be the reliable power RB that Texas has missed this season. That said there are not a lot of other players that would be major contributors.

I so wish that Texas could find a dude that would have played FB in an earlier era, but was about 6’1 250 lbs for today’s game.

A short yardage wrecking ball would round out our offense quite nicely.

And fuck kurt for asking the years dumbest question.

Peanut-gallery comment but is there one coach or media member in the country that doesn't gush over Sark?

CDC fucking nailed that hire.

I have not seen Skattebo play so looked him up and like someone here said all ankle tackles do is let the runner keep going. He seems to abuse guys smaller than him and he definitely will run through arm tackles. Can't tell if he is sneaky fast but the video makes him look faster then one thinks he would be with that body build. Our LBs are fast and will have to make sure he does not get to the third level although I can see a serious collision coming between him and Makuba. Georgia has been the only team to run on us when we knew it was coming. Don't think ASU will be able to and hopefully it will be like last years BIG 12 championship game and Skattebo will be throwing a tantrum on the sideline in the 4th quarter because he has less than 50 yards.

Are you fucking serious.

Did you even watch that video?

The only ankle attempts were desperate dives after he ran by someone.

What I saw was him break almost every tackle that started above his knees.

Watch it again.

Show me one attempt at an ankle tackle in that video besides desperation dives.

All of the tackles he is breaking are above his knees.

You’re overthinking this. Scatbooty has the fuckugly face and demeanor of one of them fightin dogs. You know how they get them fightin dogs to let go of something? That’s right, finger in the poop shoot. PK implements that in this weeks prep, fumble every time.
