Everyone already thinks we’re the evil empire. Might as well own that identity. Hell Disney(espn) would love it.

Sark and the team WALKING onto the field to the Imperial March.

Everyone would probably get sued.

At some point I want us to march out slowly in our whites to the Vader theme with the whole team doing horns down. Then we fucking throttle whoever we're playing.

Great Minds think alike.

If we start doing it while we destroy teams, it kinda ruins it for everyone else no?

eh I guess?  It's cutting off your nose to spite your face.  Just ignore horns down, and smile and toss 'em up while we kick in their teeth.  It only has the power you give it.

Kind of off-topic, but I will be interested to see how the Big 12 does this year in these bowl games.

I know bowl games are not always indicative of conference strength but from watching WV and K-State the Big 12 looks bad.

The Big 12 was bad.  The talent level is low.  ASU won and was comfortably the best team in the conference with what would be considered a below average ASU team talentwise.  It's kind of cool as an ASU fan, since we're so used to underachieving.  The 2021 ASU roster would be a fucking nightmare to play if they had the current coaching staff, but such is life.  ASU is still injured by the NCAA stuff and fielding a team essentially from 2 years of portal transfers and a few underclassmen.

Maybe we pull off a massive upset, but even if y'all smoke us, I'm more looking forward to 2 or 3 years from now when it's actually rebuilt.

ASU is one or two plays away from having Ls to Mississippi State, Texas State, Kansas, Utah, UCF, and BYU.

That was also with a 1k WR in Tyson who is out for the playoffs. Without Tyson, I don't think there's a doubt that the worst team in the playoffs is either ASU or Boise State.

This would be a 4 to 5 loss team if Tyson didn't go off against several of those teams mentioned above.

ASU was beating Mississippi State 30-3 and coasted.  They killed the clock at the 10 after Skattebo slid on what would have likely been a TD.

Similar situation with BYU, but it backfired because they didn't kill enough time despite running backwards.  1st and goal from the like the 4, up a TD, mismanaged the clock by a fraction of a second.  Really dumb since it didn't work.  Could've just punched it in and then it's a 2 score game.

Utah was close but didn't feel that way.  UCF, Kansas and Texas State were close though.  Kansas was fucking weird.  They were 3-3 against top 25 teams with all 3 losses by 1 score.  Like they suck, but they were kinda scary.

i think there are rightsholders fees to play any copyrighted music

you have to buy the sheet music to play it "in private"

and "in public" including "broadcast" there is some fee

the imperial march is owned 75% warner and 25% disney

Correct. For music played in stadiums, either by the band or over the PA, there are licensing fees. Usually it’s just a blanket license, but depends on various factors.

Jerryworld should be the site for the National Championship game, with it being more of a central location to the rest of the 48 states.
I wonder why that isn't already a thing.

I asked the AI about it.
------------
Jerryworld, or as it's officially known, AT&T Stadium, is a spectacular venue, but it's not used for the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship game for a few key reasons:
*   **Bidding Process and Rotation:** The CFP National Championship game location is determined through a competitive bidding process, much like the Super Bowl. Cities and stadiums across the country put together proposals to host the game. The CFP then selects a site based on a variety of factors, including stadium quality, infrastructure, hotel availability, transportation, and the overall experience offered to fans and teams. The goal is to rotate the game among different regions and high-quality venues.
*   **Desire for Neutrality and Variety:** The CFP aims to provide a neutral site for the championship game, similar to the Super Bowl. This ensures that neither team has a home-field advantage. Rotating the game among different cities and regions also allows more fans across the country to potentially experience the event. AT&T Stadium would give the Dallas-Fort Worth area more championship games than the CFP would like in its rotation, as the stadium frequently hosts the Cotton Bowl.
*   **Other Major Events at AT&T Stadium:** Jerryworld already hosts numerous major events throughout the year, including Dallas Cowboys games, the Cotton Bowl Classic, major concerts, and other sporting events. Adding the CFP National Championship to its schedule could pose logistical challenges.
*   **Financial Considerations:** The financial arrangements and revenue-sharing agreements between the CFP and the host city/stadium are crucial factors in the selection process. The CFP likely seeks the most favorable financial terms that benefit the organization and its member conferences.
*   **Indoor vs. Outdoor Preference:** While not a hard and fast rule, the CFP has shown a slight preference toward playing the game outdoors if weather conditions permit. This is a nod to the traditional aspects of football, although the practical benefits of indoor stadiums are undeniable.
*   **Date Availability:** AT&T Stadium would have to have the date of the championship game available. Due to the large amount of events held there each year, scheduling is quite complex.
**In summary,** while AT&T Stadium is certainly capable of hosting the CFP National Championship, the game's rotation policy, desire for geographic diversity, bidding process, and logistical considerations mean that it's just one of many potential venues considered each year. It did, however, host the first CFP National Championship in 2015.

The non-artificial fact that a quarter final and the final are both in shitty-ass Atlanta renders most all of this Bullshit

Sorry if already answered but any Surly tailgates?  Flying in with a quick 30 hours in Atlanta but also looking for anything worthwhile for NYE in terms of a bar/restaurant.  I've read the downtown area is a little dead but any suggestions?

We'll, I guess the estate of Ennio Morricone must have offered LHB a Group-On or sum such.
