Watching ESPN (the Peach Bowl) in Germany?

So, we have to do “second Xmas” over there this year, due to kiddo travel issues. We will be at a friend’s house on New Year’s Day, and would love to watch the game there.

My spectrum app won’t work over there, and I tried to test it out using my VPN (NordVPN), and the app won’t let you log in through that VPN.

Anyone know a workaround that actually works? Am happy to download and pay for some other app that grants ESPN access, but I suspect that I’ll need to use a VPN ultimately, because unless it’s a native app over there, it won’t connect.

Or…is there a VPN that works for these purposes?

Methstreams is easy.

From a reddit

Spoiler

know this is really old now but just for anyone if curious I use Nordvpn and have never had any issues with ESPN+ detecting it as long as you make sure you delete history and cookies before opening up ESPN if you turn your VPN off. Once the game loads you can turn off VPN and open more games including whatever you just chose for your location. I will say it is a little finicky in that my blackout team is in Tennessee and only setting VPN to New York will work. If it's detecting try different states and may get lucky like I did but you will have to delete history etc each time as it's stored

Are you wanting to watch on a laptop or cast to TV?

Was hoping to watch on a TV, but my plan was pretty basic: run an HDMI cable from my phone to the TV.

Not sure how it works overseas, but can’t you just use the ESPN (after validating your cable provider info) or Hulu apps if you have the ESPN/Hulu/Disney bundle?

Why are you messing with your spectrum app? Just watch it on the ESPN app.
