I guess we will see but we have seen plenty of times in professional sports the team that kept playing and kept the mojo going come in and take down the team that sat around getting cold.  Happens more in baseball but has also happened 5 times this century where a wild card team has won the Super Bowl...and that isn't even taking into account divisional round upsets.  Will be interesting to see how that plays out at a college level.

I'm pretty sure Georgia would trade an SEC champ trophy/bye for a home game to get Gunnar Stockton's feet wet against a full game of competition, in hindsight, despite Kirby saying he would have done nothing different after yesterday's loss.

Let's say Texas wins the SEC CCG and gets the 2 seed and a bye.  Georgia probably gets a home game against SMU as the 6, with PSU getting the 5 and Clemson, to avoid a Georgia-Clemson first round rematch.  Stockton gets an overmatched ACC team at home, instead of a long layoff with no additional in-game reps.  It really showed.

Kirby should have thrown the SEC CCG as soon as Beck got hurt.

Georgia benefits from a game for Stockton to get reps.  Texas benefits from an extra week of rest for Banks and Bond and Cam Williams doesn't get hurt in the first round game.
