it was funny when he made the stop on 3rd down against aggy, herbstreit didn't know his name and just called him #15.  that guy has been instrumental in 2 huge goal line stands and I bet 90% of our fans have no idea who he is or where he's from.

At the Kentucky game they were naming our starting lineups and I was like "who the fuck is Bill Norton?"

I know who he is now.

Total pimp.

Dude is silently a killer. Wish he could come back, along with Lole. Those guys are just great finds. That stop at the goal line was nothing short of awesome

It's evidence of great coaching/evaluation when you can get great production from less heralded, cheaper players by fitting them to the right roles in your system.

After stuffing the 4th-and-goal attempt, he goes up to the QB and says, "I'm Bill Norton! SAY IT!!!"  Then he manipulates the QB's lips in such a way as to make him say, "Biiiilllnorrrrton".... it wasn't exactly like it, but it was pretty good for a guy named Klubnik!

Not exactly the prototypical DT body type, but he does get shit done. Good eval in the portal.

Body by Rick Ross.

The amazing thing about that play is he's fully engaged with an olineman, the RB has a full head of steam, runs into him and he doesn't give up an inch.

Yeah, he was clowning the guard with one hand and scooping up the rb with the other, all while shoving them back. It looked like a grown man playing with his kids.

Where does he go in the draft? 7th or free agent? Looks like a Roy Miller specialty. Goes late but ptoduces at a high NFL level.

Roy Miller was a third rounder?

Miller was 6'2 295, every down interior d lineman. Norton is listed at 6'6 and 350+. Think Tony Siragusa, a gigantic run stuffer to clog shit up and keep blockers off LBs, make some short yardage tackles.

I see Norton as a late round pick or a UFA signing, depending upon his performance at the combine or UT's pro day.  His stats here (13 tackles) and at Airzona (32 tackles) are not going to attract attention, but that's because of his role in PK's defense - to eat blockers and allow others to do their jobs.

In the latter part of his NFL career, Siragusa played at 6'3"/330 (I think he was heavier, but who cares).  At Pitt, he was 6'5"/240 as an incoming freshman and played at 6'5"/255 as a soph.  An interesting note: he was a state champion wrestler in HS.  When I first read it, I wondered how massive Siragusa was in HS.  Fwiw.
