That’s racist.

Not sure but could be a hybrid. Don’t know where it was seen.

The suburbs of Atlanta, GA.

I'm disappointed in the snakes around my house at the moment.  Found a huge rat in the garage who had clearly taken up residence for some time.  We have snakes all over the place here.  Where were they when I needed them?  Always underfoot when you least expect, but you need one rat dealt with and they're nowhere to be found.   Useless bastards.

I’d wager they were off dealing with another rat

Heard they are evolving to not rattle because it gets them killed by hoomans. Any truth to that?

Lol, no.  There is also the endless rumor about them going silent around hogs.  Wives.  Tales.  Etc.

There is no way, no freakin way you caught that with your hands. I was told by this thread it couldn’t and shouldn’t be done.

One of the many reasons that nursery rhyme is a bad idea.

Seriously. I’ve read that the volume of venom from a coral snek bite can be relatively low, but it’s still one of the more toxic venoms, and I’d think that any bite could fuck a kid up. Hope he was okay.

Hope the snake wasn't too traumatized.

Hard to tell but thats what it looks like from here

It was a Rattlesnake, I will try to get a better picture from my buddy who took the rattle.

Of note, it slide under the house faux wall that had like an inch clearance, but also a cement wall behind it. I grabbed the pry bar and slide it under to get him. Got him much better than I realized.

It doesn't look like a Diamondback pattern.  Maybe a Massasauga?  Their patterns more closely resemble Western rat snakes.

Wait, so presumably on vacation in Colorado or maybe you live there, see a snake, kill it and call animal control?

If this is the case, why not just call animal control and let him and his snake tongs catch and relocate / dispose of snake?

I live in Colorado.

Came home to a snake in a driveway.

Animal Control not available for 24 hours.

Killed snek.

Animal Control shows up 24 hours later.
