Can't see the markings in the photo.  Either a Dekay's Brown or a Rough Earth Brown.  If there are noticeable markings, including a slightly darker top of the head, it's a DeKay's.

Good to start the year off with an easy id of a snake, a bit out of their traditional range though.

I guess there is a slightly less than zero chance that it is a venomous snake from Australia.
