Barkley needs 101 yards to break Dickerson’s record. He’s had 34 fewer carries than Dickerson to this point, and will get the extra game.

I know Dickerson talked about Barkley needing an extra game but, I am not sure where I stand on it. In today’s game, as opposed to 1984, the game is way different but it’s pretty amazing no matter what. I guess I kind of side with Dickerson. If you add Dickerson’s one playoff game, the 17th game, he had 107 yards on 23 carries in a loss to the Giants. That put him at 2,212 on 402 carries.

Assuming Barkley and the Eagles make a long run I reckon he will pass Dickerson’s 1984 season.

No doubt about that but, he’s completed 243 passes to people other than Jefferson. He’s thrown 35 TDs and just 12 INTs.

Not too bad. And he’s thrown for over 4,000 yards this season.

Darnold has had a good season, no doubt, but without Jefferson on the field he wouldn’t have completed that same number of passes to people other than Jefferson.

Not until they win a SB.

So past performance dictates whether a team is "for real" in the current season.  Got it.

I don't know how far Minnesota will go in the playoffs.  I do know that nobody (including me) figured they would be 14-2 heading into the final week of the season.  Not even close.  If KOC isn't COY, something is radically wrong.
