Fly home safely.

Ertz can still ball.

Someone remind me. There’s something stupid about the clock in overtime. Like it doesn’t matter? It does matter? Does anyone actually know?

If no one scores in 10 minutes (or both kick FGs), kiss your sister as a tie.

So past performance dictates whether a team is "for real" in the current season.  Got it.

I don't know how far Minnesota will go in the playoffs.  I do know that nobody (including me) figured they would be 14-2 heading into the final week of the season.  Not even close.  If KOC isn't COY, something is radically wrong.

Vikings have very long history of looking legit during season only to lose in playoffs.  They are having a great season but doesn’t mean shit unless they win SB but maybe this will finally be their year.  Since Cowboys chronically suck every damn year, I’m pulling for Vikings and Buffalo to reach SB.  Agree that KOC should be COY.

I'm well acquainted with Minnesota's playoff history b/c I've been a fan since the early 70's.  1998 was particularly brutal.

Are the Vikings "for real" in the sense that they're a good team this year?  I think so.  But I'm certainly not saying they'll win the Super Bowl.  If they don't beat Detroit next weekend, they'll be a 5 seed and have to go on the road for their first playoff game, which is a potential recipe for a first round loss.

tonight's game is meaningless for the lions, right?  they should probably sit their starters to get reary for minnesota.

Yes. Win or lose tonight, next week's game against Minnesota decides who gets the 1 seed.

I follow only one NFL team closely.  But, I’ll be tuned into that one.  Potential track meet …

Yep should be a great one on paper. A massive shift in your playoff road by losing that game. 5 seed and guaranteed to go on the road for the first 2 rounds and barring upsets the whole playoffs, will need to win 3 road games to get to the Super Bowl. Versus getting the bye week and only needing to win 2 home games to get to the Super Bowl. Usually, the Vikings don't win these kinds of games but the Lions defense is reeling and missing so many guys. Teams have been able to move the ball pretty easily against them lately. Buffalo scored 48 on them and Green Bay scored 31.
