Worst concert/live show that you attended

Carlos Santana at the Erwin Center. Him and Jeff Beck. Beck went on first and killed it. Carlos followed and played the most low energy, lazy set I've ever seen. Me and my buddy walked out after 30 minutes or so.

Worst by far was Chris Connelly (Ministry, RevCo, Pigface) at old Emo's for a solo gig.

Everyone was expecting industrial or punk, but instead he tried too become a crooner.

Spoiler:  he can't sing for shit.

What year was this? If around 1994-1995, I saw both while living in Portland, OR and it was fantastic.

Stevie Nicks - Houston Summit - 1986

Coked out of her mind and fell off the stage.

Me and my sister almost met her at the Stouffer Hotel afterward.  Hell of a crazy night, and I had school the next morning. (Looking on the interwebs, that was the opening show for that tour.)

I saw her there in either 84 or 85, with Joe Walsh opening (turns out they were an item at the time, but I don't think the public knew that).

I don’t remember where this was, my sister said she saw Walsh open up for her and she was doing something ballad-y (Leather and Lace maybe), and Walsh cranked up a chainsaw on stage.  😄

the end of their relationship was the genesis of the tom petty song "don't come around here no more". from wikipedia:

Quote

The original inspiration was a romantic encounter that producer David A. Stewart of Eurythmics had with Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.[4] On The Howard Stern Show, Stewart explained that the title's phrase was actually uttered by Nicks. She had broken up with Eagles singer and guitarist Joe Walsh the night before,[5] and invited Stewart to her place for a party after an early Eurythmics show in Los Angeles. Stewart did not know who she was at the time, but went anyway. When the partygoers all disappeared to a bathroom for a couple of hours to snort cocaine, he decided to go upstairs to bed. He woke up at 5 a.m. to find Nicks in the room trying on Victorian clothing and described the entire scenario as very much reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. Later that morning, when Walsh came by to find Nicks, Stewart heard Nicks throw Walsh out, saying "Don't come around here no more."

According to Jimmy Iovine, he went to Dave Stewart's house after a Eurythmics concert, and Dave showed him what he had of the song – not much besides the chorus and drum beat – and told him he was stuck, so Iovine suggested Tom Petty finish writing it.[6]

It was probably around that time. They should have had Jeff Beck play second. Santana was too worried about smoking his cigars.

I saw him with the Flaming Lips backing him at Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth and it was incredible.

String Cheese Incident at the Backyard in Austin (2001).  Utterly boring show.  Then some girl got nabbed by the cops and started freaking out and screaming.  My buddy and I looked at each other and decided to bounce.

Honorable Mention: Rush at the Summit (1992).  I entered the venue a casual fan and left never wanting to listen to them again.  Absolutely nothing exciting about seeing them live.  Felt like listening to the album with a relatively mediocre light show.  But the worst part was being surrounded by all the Rush fans.

Rush was my first ever concert in 7th grade so I really didn't know any better, but yes it was a very bland performance.  Saw this on Instagram originally so at least South Park could inject a tiny bit of personality into a Rush show.
