They ain’t playing the Sugar Bowl tonight.

Why not? the scene is as safe as it could possibly be

Btw now and kickoff, should have enough time to determine if loner or not. I would assume that would be the prime worry about playing. Better safe than sorry, but I wouldn't want to be part of the crowd that planned a trip around this.

Huh, the teams are sheltered in place in their hotels. Seems less than ideal for the whole gameday routine

Where else would they be 8 hours before game time? Brunch at Brennan’s?

Usually doing a film review or some team meetings or some shit - not sheltered in place lol. Hell just when I was in LHB a gameday, much less a bowl game, was an all day affair with nearly every minute filled. I would imagine a football team has shit to do besides sheltering in place to get fully ready to play in a quarterfinal playoff game

Seen reports of possible other suspects involved. Wonder what information they have that leads them to believe this.

I feel sorry for the 2 or 3 guys this dude hung out with who didn't know he was ISIS.

They gotta work on these statements. I know what they mean but “we found an ISIS flag on the car used to do a terrorism.  We are hard at work investigating if the perp was associated with terrorists” is such an asinine way to explain what they are doing.

Local caller on the news claimed they didn't have the normal hardened barricades up and they just had the plastic traffic barricades.

This just makes me sick. What a shit way to start 25. Fuck.

plastic barricades filled with water / sand would tough to drive through

Hope this is fake news. Fucking joke if they postpone it.

It needs to be postponed. You can't have 80,000 people come together a mile away from where a major terrorist attack took place less than 24 hours ago when we still don't know if this guy had any accomplices.

Also he was probably white.

Four senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter say they have preliminarily identified the suspect in the vehicle ramming attack in New Orleans as Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42.

Don't 15 people get shot on Bourbon Street on an average night?

wakes up in the morning, faces a mirror. writes down his most important thought for the day. reads it backwards.

rinse, repeat.

The logistics of fans extending hotel rooms, and getting flights changed will make this a real mess for many who were likely set to fly home tomorrow morning.

I know that isn't high on a priority list, but it makes you wonder if there could be tickets available. And I think ESPN will love being the only game of the day and in prime time (not that THOSE corporate types would try to capitalize on a tragedy)

Yeah but I don't think they're making bombs and setting them up around churches
