Yeah, can hear it pinging off of stuff, but seems small.

No hail pinging where I am. Just rain and the sound of the swarms of mosquitos getting ready to unleash hell in 2025.

made it to late March so can’t complaint too much, I guess

All that lighting and thunder around me but only five minutes of actual rain at my house

Same. Lots of lightening and thunder with a spritz of rain.

Yeah a great electrical storm at my house but no rain.  Glad for those of you that got some, though.

How many inches of electricity did you get?

Meanwhile, in West Texas, it's so dry that these 3-foot-tall sand dunes spilling over a country road are the result of wind erosion from a single cotton field over the last month or so. You might have seen their offspring aloft over Central Texas a couple of weeks ago.20250322_172944.thumb.jpg.64aff156050724311369579d99264f11.jpg

This was how my morning started and it didn’t get much better.

“Good morning Everyone,

The storm last night caused significant flooding in the PAI 1st and 2nd floors. This is very comparable to the floods a few weeks back. Since the previous flood, the new drainage system has been fully connected, but the rain was too much and too fast for the temporary construction arrangements. The red areas below all took on heavy rain water.”

The first flood mentioned was because the construction crew built a ramp over the storm drain and into Painter Hall. Completely sealed off a storm drain AND built a ramp for the water to make it into the building much easier.

Handicapped water?  2025 is getting interesting.

The water went up the ramp?

What we REALLY need is for that whole blob to bump up to the NW about 150 miles.  We won't get it.  Shit, what it's projecting will probably peter out.

For those of you paying attention, this drought is already creeping and picking up speed in the "drought of 2011" direction.  But now, with even more demand on our water resources than back then.
