My God the throw it and hope for PI play…bullshit call. No way that fucker catches that ball if he’s playing against air

I was wondering about that, I didn't see a 2nd player in motion

It was right at the beginning of the play. The TE next to the right tackle basically moved back and then forward, but wasn't set long enough before the receiver started moving.

He doesn't have to be set before the receiver goes in motion he just has to come set before the snap

Do we need to make the Burt comment after every field goal?

Kinda.

People have different coping mechanisms. I can respect that. I was traumatized yesterday, too. Especially since our history is full of such clutch field goals. I'm not actually used to the opposite, and we got a double dose, along with a heartfelt successful icing from our head coach.

Easy PI call unfortunately

I hate that fucking call. QB gets bailed out by a well underthrown ball that he was not going to catch at all no matter what the defender was doing. Seems to have been a trend for awhile now. Underthrow the ball and get bailed out by PI. Defender didn't turn his head but the WR jumped in the air on a ball underthrown that he wasn't catching.

Clemson is a lot more talented than any of those teams. They had the highest upside of those teams.

Hmmmm... no they weren't. SMU yes, but just barely.

You have to at least pretend to make a play on the ball, he didn't, Texas hasn't gotten that call much this season.

no you don't

Why should a defender get penalized on a very poor thrown ball? Catchable ball is a thing when it comes to determining PI. WR had no chance at that ball.
