2025 Peach Bowl: CFP QF - Texas vs. Arizona State - 12pm on ESPN

The Defense stepped up to meet a real challenge today. They're the unknown, in that we really aren't sure if any offense can beat them.  Bodes well for OSU matchup.

and...

Today... the O and Quinn really stepped up when the chips were down. They would not be denied. REceiver made catches. RBs didn't fumble... and made some runs.

Still, we gotta do better. Kinda get the feeling this offense will improve next week

Have y'all noticed that the passing game went away from all the bullshit, weird action, etc.  Just WRs running routes and a QB throwing to them.

Weird how it's working.

Yes. Now, if the run game would do the same. Stop the pulling.  Stop the sideways running. Line up and use your size. Have Q run north-south.

Ewers is absolutely amazing in the short and intermediate passing game. Otherwise, he’s really not dangerous as a passer or runner.

The Michigan game was intermediate success. Outside of one long TD pass against Alabama, the long shots are an issue. Today’s success came on both short and intermediate passing. Sark needs to cut the BS and stick with what has shown to work over and over for Quinn.

This is true. The problem is a great, or at least very good, defense will take that stuff away like Georgia did. If you can't run the ball it's extremely difficult to manufacture offense consistently through the air with nothing but screens, short, and intermediate throws. Oregon is maybe the only defense left in the playoffs we have a definite physical advantage over if we can manage to execute properly. Everyone else is very good to great.

The biggest surprise of the game was ASU's undersized front being able to stop our zone scheme running game as consistently as they did. A ridiculous effort from very physically outmatched guys. My hat is off for their performance. Sometimes players can play well above their normal capabilities.

PK GONNA COOK

Except whatever impostor has replaced Malik Muhammad will get cooked and so will Holmes and Taafe. Neither matchup is great for us especially if the no push version of our OL shows up.

Quinn was doggy doo-doo through 3.5 quarters after he arm-punted an INT into double coverage with an 8-point lead and 5 minutes to play. Good on you for having the foresight to know that he’d get another 4 possessions to make up for a treacherous performance. Leavitt is a cunt, but he also played well for a guy with no OL and no offensive skill position players that would sniff snaps at Texas outside of his mouth-breathing RB.

Just take the L on this one. Ewers was the man today.

This game was the platonic ideal of a Quinn Ewers game. Absolutely dazzling at the beginning and end with a bunch of lackadaisical throws and head-scratching decisions in between. It’s what makes him so frustrating because you can see the talent is there.

Goes well with his head coach’s mid game play calling
