What a shit show that game was.  I have no idea how we won it.  I hope we got all of our "stupid" out in that game, and play focused from here on out.  But, I have my doubts.  But finding a way to survive a day like today is no small feat.  Live to play another day.  Time to move on to bigger and better things.

Ohio State is going to beat us like we're in a Turkish prison

The good thing about that game is we probably aren't going to get a good lead and then try to hold on. We will probably be forced to play our offense the whole game.

The targeting no call was definitely missed by the refs live.  Not sure how they missed it in the replay

They didnt want to decide the game on that play. It was targeting. It was helmet to helmet. Them not calling that was the most shocking thing of the day after the way they had officiated up to that point in ASU's favor.

Thanks.  Funny part is the table in front of TV is to keep my 65 pound dog from diving into it when animals, especially dogs or cats, come on TV.

PK GONNA COOK

Correct. And Ewers might play better against his old team with that chip on his shoulder.

I watched Howard look very pedestrian last year against us with our backup QB starting. I watched Gabriel dismantle us with an inferior OU team. The choice here is very simple. We want OSU.

Stat of the game is 2.5 yards per rush.   That's on the OL.   That has to improve or it will be one more game and done.

Their NG was eating Major's lunch

Yep, as soon as seam routes and slants showed up we shredded them then the 4th and 13 double move post where they bit on the corner because everyone watches film and we majorly favor outside. Sarkisian has got to get over his obsession with throwing wide.

Right before the snap on the slant to Wingo that got us from midfield to their 25 late in regulation, I was screaming at the TV to hit somebody in the middle. Fortunately, we did. Unfortunately, Bert choked.

I believe linemen have to be three yards behind the neutral zone to be illegal downfield. From where does the two point conversion snap again?

Conversion started on the 3. They give them a yard or so leeway. The ASU right tackle was fully in the end zone and blocking at one point just before the throw. He thought the QB was running. He pulled up a bit out of the end zone and stopped blocking when the QB took to the other side of the field.

He was deserving of a lineman down field penalty, no doubt about it

Ewers deficiencies are pretty loud but a lot of his strengths, highlighted here, aren't well understood or transparent.

He quite often gets us in the right plays when the opportunity presents itself.

Texas would absolutely win the NC with Chase Daniels. Arch is a similar player.

If I were that kind of guy, I’d get a stud finder and mark all the studs before the season starts.  No reason to be a hero and punch a 2x4

Watching this OSU game…Sark needs to move off the run game early next week if it starts looking like Georgia / ASU 2.0. These guys are going to put up points and we can’t waste any drives getting behind the sticks.

No indication of targeting. He didn't lunge or lower his helmet.

It would help if we had a receiver who could track a deep ball. Not that Quinn helps by putting it up in the lights every time

That’s fair

LOL.  My wife left and listened to the game in a Walmart parking lot.  My oldest son, future Longhorn, went for a walk and watched it on his phone.  My youngest son just hid in his room.

That’s how I was as a teen during the Sherrill era. HS Fng sucked in SETX!

They've got a whole different gear they hit after the Michigan debacle. It's going to be a fucker of a time if they're keeping this level of play up.

They have to be the overwhelming title favorites at this moment.

I guess I’d have to see it. Granted, I only saw the live feed and the clip posted I quoted. I didn’t see any lineman blocking in the end zone. I obviously missed it. I did see a lineman standing on the goal line not ended with anyone while the QB is scrambling to the other side of the field. If he was in the end zone it’s a penalty.

It definitely could have been targeting. But they didn't call a very similar type of contact with the face mask to the helmet earlier in the game against ASU. Would have been absolute robbery if they called it there and they knew it.
