He doesn't get everything right every time, but I don't get the impression that his calls are reflective of any real bias.  It's funny sometimes to hear him calmly correct Tess' moronic homerism.

Yeah I'm ok with Jesse. Compared to a great many announcers out there, he's aight, imho.

Tessitore is terrible with his over-the-top dramatics on a regular basis, and I hold that opinion regardless of whether Texas is playing well or not.  Palmer can be annoying at times, but I can deal with him.

I do not pay much attention to the announcers. Today and it was hard to filter Tess out. Calling guys by the wrong last name, over the top volume on average plays.

He worked hard to put the announcer hex on Auburn, kept quoting how many extra points in a row he has made, said he was 9 for 9 in some arbitrary range that happened to be where the kick was from before one of the misses.

So yes, I blame him for Auburn's misses

Sean McDonough And McElroy are the best announcing crew in college football.

i would rather listen to them than pretty much anyone out there.

I would argue that Joel Klatt is better than McElroy but Gus is a beating.

I'll never understand announcer hate.  I guess I never pay much attention to them. I can understand watching on mute or preferring Craig Way but they're all about the same to me.

Fans long for the days of Mike Patrick wondering what Brittney Spears is doing with her life.

Tip for Tessitore: when you call every play like it's the biggest play of the game, then none of the actual big play calls have any gravitas behind them. Stop. Get help.

I started on the SEC Network for the Craig Way audio but the Skycast video is shit.  So I switched back almost immediately.  By the end of the 4th quarter though, the fellating of ASU was getting spit all over my TV and I went back to the SEC Network.
I think a main screen on main cast/muted and the call on SECN on second screen would be ideal. Wonder if could sync the audio to main vid. Will try next round lol..

From what I've seen of Tessitore he's always shilling for the underdog. Which means he's always biased against us.

He used to be solid years ago with Teddy Atlas calling boxing on ESPN, so he's capable of doing quality calls, but his open bias in games is going to piss off the fans he's biased against.

I remember in the Arkansas game he openly yelled out a pig sooey after the only TD we gave up to those chuckle fucks. Then on any of our TDs he just called it generic "Touchdown Texas".

We're still early on in this world where the tons of money UT has can actually be legally used to buy players, so we the fans still have mid 2010s mindset. We have to adjust now because we're the boogey man in CFB along with OSU, Oregon, Georgia. We're going to be hated by everyone that isn't one of us. Just have to get used to it.

McElroy gets a solid vote from me in addition to his skills, because of his honesty.  I heard him years ago say that when he was living in the metroplex, every time he would sit down to do business with someone, they would remind him that he was the best hand-off man on the field in the Texas'bama 2010 game, and got lucky to win.  He said he got so sick of it, he moved to Alabama. ha!

Then the other day he was making fun of himself and said there were two things he can do on the football field. 1. count to make sure everybody is lined up correctly and 2. hand off.

Klatt normally has immense respect for Texas, maybe because he barely survived against us?

The fact that his subject and verbs actually make complete sentences when he speaks after the Drew Kelson hit in 2005 is amazing. His interviews on KTCK during the regular season are good commentary.
