Eweres got out played. Special teams got outplayed. Running backs got outplayed

Fucking smoking dope kicker could have won the game in regulation

Ewers totally outplayed Leavitt. Special teams a push because of Bolden TD.

QE had 4 TDs and 100 yds more passing. To say he outplayed Leavitt is an understatement.

Hey, I’m trying to get an earlier appointment for that procedure.
Are you doing better now?

To stay on topic:

ASU must’ve read all the Surly pregame trash talk and papered their locker room with it.

I feel a lot better now.  The groin was a little tender for a few days, but the heart is steady.  I haven’t had any signs of atrial fibrillation since.  I had the procedure on December 18, and I am back to working out.  If you do it, I would recommend pulsed field ablation over other techniques.

To keep it football related the bruise on my leg and groin was about the size of a youth football.

Totally. But I guess he didn’t look good to that poster in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and he just kinda stopped watching the game.

QB is pretty damn good with his legs too. Props to ASU getting him in the portal with multiple years left to play.

I’m a fan of Kenny D and what he’s building there. HC isn’t even 35 yet. Go Sparky for their future years in the B12.

Hook’em!!!

Kid is absolutely legit. Wish we had him. Dude is an absolute baller.

You should participate more often, not just when you play us. Your jib appears cut for this place.

I'll probably stick around, post here and there.  I used to post a lot more when it was ShaggyBevo back in the day.

I like your game threads and no one clutches pearls too hard.

Want to like Skattebo except for the Baker Mayfield vibes.

He does not give me that impression. Guy was underrecruited and worked his way up from FCS.

I thought he was a 3-star from the rugged streets of ::checks notes:: Lake Travis

You guys were worthy of a bye. Worthy of CFP. Great coach.

Skattebo may be the toughest dude to play CFB in the last ten years. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Respect from this Longhorn fan.

if they add the right pieces around that qb. they'll be a very dangerous team next year. preseason top 5 for sure

Yeah, they were pretty even until Quinn's last 3 throws were a pair of touchdowns and a 2-pt conversion and Leavitt's last throw was a pick that ended their season.

Leavitt was right in a way -- he did show us who the better quarterback is.  It just isn't him.

I think Leavitt would do better against the ASU defense than Quinn did, and Leavitt did better against the Texas defense than Quinn would.

Quinn would have been sacked an absurd number of times if he had been in Leavitt’s shoes.  Dude was absurdly slippery

QE wouldn't have lasted a quarter if he had to play under ASU's offensive line.

Quinn is still injured by my guess. He isn’t rolling out of the pocket much and buying time like he used to. But he is healthy enough to play and win playoff games with a patchwork line and no running game and a coach who has as many WTF moments as Bert.

On about 30 fewer snaps and a very limited running game.

Even when fully healthy he was never a greased-pig level slippery like Leavitt was today.  He’s always relied more on getting the ball out quickly than running in circles behind the line

I'm wondering why it took so long to get Helm involved.

I liked 4's game until it was clear his bell was continuously ringing.  That dude should have been in the locker room.  Still, crazy game -- ran it, caught it, threw it.

Quinn’s dime of the game was the TD to Helm on the second OT that almost nobody saw. He steps up in pocket and slings it in step. Beauty.

I mean... or his two throws on that first drive. Or the 4th and 13 conversion in 1OT.

There's a wonderful book I read decades ago with a great quote in it. In the context of the book, the son had unmoored their skiff before they had gotten into it, leading to him needing to jump into it from the docks, yell at his dad for the oars, and then get it back from there so they could make it back to their ship -- high-fives all around! They were so happy to have saved the day that they forgot the dumb things they'd done to get into that position in the first place. "If you do lots of stupid things, you get to be a hero."

I feel this describes our offense's play to a T.

He never was particularly fast, but he was much more mobile and capable of throwing on the move. This seems to have limited him quite a bit.

Dillingham is a good coach with huge balls. May he stay away from the Axis of Evil who all desperately need coaching upgrades.

I think he will be where he’s at for a good long time. It’s always been home for him and he now is going to get the support he needs to get some talent upgrades. I said it a few days ago, but sometimes coaches and schools meet at exactly the right time. I believe this is one of those instances. I was honestly not expecting much from this game and thought the moment might be too big, but Dillingham stayed the course and Skattebo had himself a game. Hopefully it portends good things going into next season.

I stand corrected. Watching the game sober and looking at the stats does say Ewers outplayed their QB.
