Well, if College Football Live is to be believed, I'm not sure why we bothered to make this trip.   Can we just say the entire team has the flu, is stuck in the snow/ice, or has an exam to prioritize over football?   No way Texas has a chance in this game.

Well, who would win if 2025 tOSU were to play 2005 USC?

So weird, 3 weeks ago everyone was running Ryan Day out of Columbus and now they are unbeatable.

Got to take it Day by Day.

Why would Texas "back down from it?"

Oh yeah, that's right, in the past two weeks Ohio State has gone from the dogs who got rolled by mediocre Michigan, to besting the combined armies of Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan.  The Horns should be quaking in their cleats...

LOL, is this true about the Cover 3 Podcast?:

True about pretty much every national CFB talking head and a handful of posters in a certain thread

Bud Elliott (who I normally consider pretty level headed and informed compared to the other 3 idiots on the podcast) said earlier this week he would trade Quinn Ewers for Sawyer Robinson or Tyler Shough

Simple question…

Your team is down by one score and they get the ball with one minute left on their own 25.

Which one of the four QB’s left would you like under center?

Yeah, I heard that discussion. Hilarious. Keep the hate coming.

I've been mainlining college football podcasts this week, and Solid Verbal was on the opposite extreme of Quinn idiocy (while still picking against us), saying that he throws one of the best deep balls in the game.

I should start a cfb podcast.catnewspapermeme

If you do, you'll have to do it out of your bedroom, like every other Podcaster that's popped up during the playoffs.

It’s Ewers.  I love Howard but he’s 0-2 in that situation for us.  And Ryan Day, whose postseason modes are a binary A) blowout win, or B) heartbreaking loss, is like 0-20

I think a football pod featuring the cries of a baby, toddler, wife, cat and dog are just what the people are looking for. If some people have a face for radio, I have a voice for newspaper. I will be Scrooge McDucking in that sweet ad-read money in no time

I wonder why that could be?  Perhaps because with an empty formation, he's oriented (chest/feet/head/eyes) downfield the entire time, giving him maximum time to see and process?  I wonder if anyone on Surly has been beating this horse to death?

Surely, the players weren’t told they couldn’t be on the sideline?

Based on a follow-up tweet, it wasn’t the Cotton Bowl who denied him/them

It's an added variable in a game that they don't need any added distractions. I don't fault Sark for it if he made that call

We just saw how pedestrian the Pedo St offense is. That offense put up 518 yards on Oregon, with almost 300 on the ground in the CCG. Ohio State’s 500 total yards and 181 rushing in the next game looks a bit different with a little context thrown in.

Allar choked a bit.

They ran the ball well, and play action to TE and running backs was cooking. Very Kansas of them honestly.

That's a good unit, with a great schemer and play caller. Notre Dame had 9 guys flying down hill the whole second half, and if not for their QB missing a ton of throws, who knows.

They aren't explosive downfield against a big-league defensive backfield, but they are a good unit.

That said, you can see from those numbers, that both OSU and Penn State found some great wrinkles to move up and down the field against Oregon.

That would be true for every QB.

He’s talking about himself. Difference is he just used it as a veiled way to repeatedly call Ewers an idiot.

Recognizing that Ewers is a slow processor and saying so isn't calling him an idiot at all.  One is objective analysis; the other is subjective and somewhat of an insult.  There are plenty of incredibly smart people who are slow and deliberate thinkers.  Ewers might be a genius for all we know, but he needs all the time he can get to read the defense.

One thing high performers do is identify reality, good or bad, and deal with it.  You can't overcome it if you don't acknowledge it.  Mediocre people and cats bury their shit.  You can pretend it's not there, but it'll start stinking eventually.

If your QB needs the extra time, then you give him the extra time.  It's that simple.

Since you seem to want to make it personal, here's an unveiled opinion.  You're a fucking douchebag who gets his panties in a bunch whenever someone points out deficiencies or is critical of obvious flaws and you do your snarky little passive-aggressive routine from behind the safety of your keyboard.  If you don't like what I have to say, then fuck off and ignore it.
