Now TikTokers are finding evidence that the NYT writers were colluding with Lively. They were creating images for their eventual article 5 days before Lively even filed her initial complaint. Baldoni's legal team has already provided evidence that the NYT edited texts they displayed in said article. I see a settlement and a fat check heading his way.

That's kind of like what Amber Heard did with WaPo if memory serves?

Lively's camp claims that Baldoni amplified the bad press she was getting this past summer before the movie came out. The problem for Lively is the hate was organically created by book fans that were pissed about how she was acting during press junkets and the overall marketing of the film. I've never read the book, but domestic violence is a key subject, and she was marketing it like a summer rom-com and was flippant about the serious issues in the book/film.

In short, Blake was pissed people were hating on her for her own thoughts and actions, and looked to blame someone else for her self-inflicted fuckups.

It's hard to know what's being amplified by Nathan and what's organic at this point. I'd imagine both sides are capable of almost anything that's been done before.

Listened to the NYT podcast "The Daily" today which has a piece on this today.

My takeaway from all of this is that PR firms suck.

And Hank it's pretty clear you already have some bias in your opinion on who's telling the truth here.

While I disagree with almost everything Hank has to say on this topic, a NYT podcast is hardly the place to go to get unbiased opinion on the subject since Baldoni is suing them for for $250M

Like I said earlier, I instinctually believed Lively's allegations when they were first reported.  Since then, all the evidence and receipts that have been filed or leaked tell a completely different story. I think I'm right about what's going on, but if proven wrong, will happily admit to it. The truth is all that matters.

I have no opinion on the accuracy of the NYT article and clearly understand the perspective being presented by the podcast.  That said, as I was reading Hank's posts in this thread I sensed a growing confirmation bias from post to post.  That's all I was saying.

I did find that the view of the podcast that the goal of the PR campaign was to sow confusion as a tactic was interesting, and one can certainly find that to be persuasive regardless of whether you believe one side or the other.

This is the shit that makes me livid. You don’t get a hall pass because of your gender. I hate the lack of accountability and responsibility. Fight fair, fight with authenticity and resolve your differences. If you don’t want to do that, you deserve what’s coming to you. Don’t care what your gender is or what’s between your legs.

She reminds me of people who I've had the displeasure of working with in the past. If I've got a bias, it's probably because I hate them so much and I'm projecting onto her. Then again I'm trying very hard to find evidence that Baldoni's version is untrue or exaggerated but I just can't find it. So his team has built some credibility with me while LIvely's has not.

She reminds me of the “popular” women at my tennis club. Pretty til they open their mouths and vapid mean spirited emotional daggers come out. I never understand why other women gravitate toward that behavior. They end up chasing that woman and only get hurt.  Meanwhile the nice women keep picking the hurt ones up and bringing them over to the it doesn’t have to be a fucking shitshow side.

it’s like high school all over again.

While the truth is all the matters, here is my bias since the evidence started coming out.

I had to deal with consistent narcissistic abuse in the past. The manipulation and gaslighting is something I would never wish upon anyone else. Only when you get out, and the fog eventually lifts, can you see the psychological hell you had to deal with during that time. If you haven't experienced it, consider yourself very lucky. I guarantee some people you know are going through it, even though they might not even realize it yet.

Since then, I've been very cognizant of the red flags. Of the actual evidence that has come out - text chains, voice memos, etc. - it all screams to me that Lively is a severe narcissist. And Baldoni's constant placating and people pleasing is the food these psychological predators live off of. They see kindness as weakness. Give them an inch, they take a mile.

Again, if further evidence proves otherwise, I'll admit to being wrong.

I understand feeling like you have to have an A-list in the leading role, because that's just how Hollywood works and that's what makes or breaks a feature film in the US market. They got Johntay Cook'd with this hire.

It’s a bit surprising Reynolds would marry someone like Lively. He seems way too cool to be down with that. Yeah, she’s hot, and really hot, but she sounds like an absolute manipulative bitch. I’m enjoying watching her get called out for it. I’m glad Baldoni is fighting this hard. I don’t buy her story at all.

Is this the part where we all pretend that we don't find thin, tall blonde women with a nice rack and a little bit of crazy in their eyes attractive?

Change it to brunette and I resemble that description but crazy in their eyes and a piece of shit are two different things.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I have a sister who fits the same mold and has ruined my parents' lives.  I managed to get away from it and know exactly what you mean about the fog lifting, but they're stuck until the end, it seems.  It's ugly and painful.  I think what others have been pointing out is that it's been obvious that you went through something like that based on your response to this story, and based on some of the other posts in this thread, I don't think you're alone.

Relying on anything released by PR firms or attorneys is never a way to find the truth of any situation.  Any of that nonsense is designed to manipulate, including and especially the court filings.  No objective truth exists in these situations, not even for the two main players involved, at least no truth that can possibly be determined.  If it upsets you, as it seems to have done, I recommend you walk away and avoid any press about this until it blows over.  It's not worth dredging up your own shit over what a couple of inconsequential people you don't know are feuding over.

The biggest thing I don't understand out of this whole thing is why, with as much money as she has, she doesn't get that wart removed from her face. It's like a permanent pimple. Five minutes at a dermatologist and it's done.

The old saying goes, no matter how hot she is  how unbelievably beautiful..... somebody, somewhere is sick of her shit.

I always get a chuckle out of this saying because we men like to pretend that it doesn't also apply to us.

I can't imagine being in a contractual business partnership with a grown-ass adult who longcat texts me to proclaim that they are the "Khaleesi", as some type of threat.

Lol, high school indeed.

Justin Baldoni Files Amended Blake Lively Lawsuit, Here's How It All Started

Justin Baldoni Here's Proof Blake & NYT Plotted For Months!!! Amends Suit Against Her

Quote

Here's their evidence ... Justin's team claims observers of the article found "viewing the HTML source code for the article revealed references to a 'message-embed-generator' that referred to a date of '2024-10-31.'"

So, in layman's terms, and in Justin's lawsuit ... he says that shows the NYT started building the allegedly defamatory article no later than October 31 -- the date the outlet developed a tool to display the text messages that were such a prominent part of Blake's lawsuit and the Times article about it.

Quote

Justin's attorney Bryan Freedman tells TMZ ... "The decision to amend our lawsuit was a logical next step due to the overwhelming amount of new proof that has come to light. This fresh evidence corroborates what we knew all along, that due to purely egotistical reasons Ms. Lively and her entire team colluded for months to destroy reputations through a complex web of lies, false accusations and the manipulation of illicitly received communications."

Quote

The amended suit also includes a more than 150-page timeline that lays out, in meticulous detail, the sequence of Blake's alleged campaign to destroy Justin. How detailed is it? It goes all the way back to January 1, 2019, when Justin emailed Colleen Hoover, the author of the "It Ends With Us" novel ... and follows, step-by-step, through this saga to January 29, 2025.

These guys are quite thorough.

Is the trial set for March 2026 or something like that? Assuming Lively has no other evidence in her back pocket, they have to consider moving to a settlement. Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift are not gonna want the bad press for another full year and you know their PR people want this to go away ASAP.

But I'd guess Baldoni's team won't want to settle without a clear, full apology from Lively that exonerates him from any wrongdoing. And a fuckload of money. Gonna be interesting.

They haven’t got to discovery (at least I don’t think so) in any of the lawsuits. Pretty sure it’s just been pleadings and leaks to the press. Official document requests, subpoenas to third parties, depositions, etc is when parties explore the proof the other side has for their claims and regardless how strong you may feel, it’s too early to predict a win for anyone

This has obviously been affecting wrexham as they have been playing poorly all January.

Maybe they should consider hiring a quirky, unconventional small college american football coach
