Lively wants Baldoni's browser history

Yeah….you don’t get that. If you want to discover searches for particular terms that are relevant to the subject matter of the dispute, MAYBE you get some specific results. But you don’t get to just go fishing and try to find something embarrassing but irrelevant.

LMAO, someone found a Forbes interview from 2022 where Blake Lively admits she tries to hijack creative control over a film when she is just hired to act.  The fucking entitlement is incredible.

anyone make the mistake of going to this person's YouTube page? I'm not even sure 100% what is going on, but this is ridiculous and fucked up. A continuous stream of videos about this?

Yeah, Kjersti Flaa, along with probably 8-10 other YouTubers, are going all in on this drama with multiple daily videos. Simply because it brings them a lot of views/subscribers, and they are making $$$. I don't think they are being disingenuous with their thoughts and opinions, but hard not to by cynical about the constant stream of "updates".

This is the world we live in now. Create online content, take full advantage when you hit on something big.

some of the Youtubers are pretty good though. In this video our pal Tilman Fertitta makes a cameo

This "reporter" may be the most obnoxious person involved in this story, partly because she's not involved at all but is working overtime to appear to be.  She's also a bit of a dumbass, as she highlights at the very top of the video.

Every actor with the slightest bit of juice (perceived or in reality) tries to gain some creative control over their projects or, at the least, to be credited for more than acting.   This has gone on for ever and is not at all unique to Lively.  It's often obnoxious behavior, especially when it is unearned, but it's not something every actor you love to watch hasn't also done.

Much like the first video this reporter posted, it's a rather weak attempt at clickbait and has nothing to do with the ongoing dispute with Baldoni.  She's getting what she wants out of it though, which is more attention for herself.

Lively said the quiet part out loud, which makes it unique IMO. Admitting to the self described "rug pull" at a speaking engagement when it comes to creative control is stupid and shitty.

And it definitely has something to do with the Baldoni case, at least in the court of public opinion. His lawyers have released texts that clearly show she was trying to hijack control of It Ends With Us. Now we have an older video where she admits that's her MO when being cast in films.

I agree most of this stuff is clickbait, but that was actually a pertinent piece of info.

my firm is doing some work on this case. i wouldn't assume there is a hero or villain. but it is definitely interesting.

This will be great exposure for the website when you have to mention that you posted about it in your deposition.

As long as he doesn't use the phrase "tree-fiddy". We saw what happened the last time it was used in court.

Part of my continued interest in this case is seeing if any actual evidence against Baldoni comes out after the initial Lively complaint. I'm open to the facts.

But that BlueSky tweet is so disingenuous (and false), I don't even know where to begin. Jacob Levy is a political science professor, why is he chiming in on this Hollywood drama with total BS? So strange.

You’re likely going to have to wait until trial or for a party to leak something to YouTube (and even then, I’d take with a grain of salt, bc can be out of context or intentionally misleading)

Discovery materials aren’t flashy and aren’t typically filed with the court (and therefore aren’t public.) So unless a court filing attaches something like Answers to Interrogatories or deposition excerpts to a motion, there’s not a lot of opportunity to examine “actual evidence”. There just aren’t daily/weekly public developments in a case like this.

Discovery is a slow and boring process dealing with stuff like Subpoenas for documents, compromises over electronic discovery search terms, written objections, corporate designee testimony, deficiency letters, meet and confer meetings, motions to compel - and depositions themselves (oooo testimony under oath) can be 7 hours long or sometimes longer. Sometimes the most legally significant part of a depo can just be acknowledging or admitting that a document is authentic.

All that to say, you can’t judge the strength of either side’s case yet - especially because I’m not sure they've started the discovery phase in the California or NY cases. And you’re likely going to have to wait a long time before anything significant happens in public

n the 141-page document, Blake says she was "not alone" in complaining about Baldoni and raising concerns about his behavior during their work together on the movie produced by Sony and Wayfarer starting in 2023.

She says Baldoni "acknowledged the complaints in writing at the time," which runs contrary to his current narrative that he has "invented." Blake says Baldoni "knew that women other than Ms. Lively also were uncomfortable and had complained about his behavior.”

Quote

Blake says Baldoni wrote in an email to the female cast member that "he was aware of her concerns, and that adjustments would be made,” but Wayfarer “took no actions to investigate this reported conduct, nor did it implement any protections at that time.”

Blake says the same cast member even expressed concerns to her about the conditions on set, saying it was "really hard" to speak with Baldoni.

Blake goes on to say that another female cast member confided to her that she felt uneasy on set and her concerns were also documented in writing nearly a year before editing on the film had started.

Why are they being vague? I would probably also complain about Baldoni's overall demeanor and namaste vibe, but those "concerns" are not the same thing as a concern that he is responsible for sexual harassment.

Also, Ryan Reynolds is apparently Hamas

The amended complaint further alleges that Wayfarer co-founder and billionaire Steve Sarowtiz told a witness that he “will protect the studio like Israel protected itself from Hamas. There were 39,000 dead bodies.” The complaint claims he told this unnamed witness, “there will be two dead bodies when I’m done. Minimum. Not dead, but you’re dead to me. So that kind of dead. But dead to a lot of people.” (Lively alleged in her original complaint that he was has not denied telling another third party he was “prepared to spend $100 million to ruin the lives of Ms. Lively and her family.”)

Okay here is the amended complaint

Most political science professors have a shitload of time on their hands.
